i had (still have) a pentax k1000 35mm, with so many various zooming lenses and filters and all, that i used to take all my closeups
any recommendations on a good digital camera similar to my old pentax?
thanks
hell, there aren't even any film cameras left like those old k-1000's kent. those things were real workhorses, classics. fully manual, just a very simple "match the needle" metering system, very reasonable in price, durable, great damn cameras for the bucks. you're never gonna find anything like that in the electronic, digital world.
Agreed, Bill.
I still have my K-1000 that my parents got for me in high school. In fact, I just took a b&w photography class this spring semester and no digital cameras were allowed, only 35mm cameras. Considering most of the students in the class were traditional aged students they did not have 35mm cameras, only digitals. They had to go to Ebay to buy cameras for the class.
Anyway, not to promote any specific camera, BUT, my camera does have a feature for "flowers". Most good quality digital cameras have it. Its most commonly known as the macro setting. Works very well for flower photos.
