Well, Liz and I are having a bouncing baby boy ... we went to the doc on Tuesday and he confirmed: there is indeed a stem on this apple! (Holy Schnikes ... even I didn't see that analogy coming!)

Anyway, assuming all goes to plan, Little Baby Fred will arrive at September's end.

We were totally working off a "we're so having a girl" vibe and, as a result, have oogatz for a boy's name.

Any suggestions?

CONGRATS Fred and Liz! I've been thinking about you tons lately!!! I think you should just avoid a traditional name and call him The Baby Swami Fro Child... He's bound to be famous with a name like that. smile.gif Besides, eventually the famous people trend will move away from one-word names like Cher, Madonna and Prince and progress into wordy unrelated run on type names. Just think you'd be way ahead of the times...
Love you lots!

Congrats!

I think your first thought of Oogatz is a perfect boy's name.

Or Dweezil... wink.gif

When I read the first post, I was thinking like Dan (scary, eh?). Be a trendsetter and see if you can't get Oogatz to catch on... wink.gif

She kinda doesn't get it yet. I mean ... "Lizzie has a baby in her belly" ... she'll say that to you. Then you say to her, "you're gonna have a little brother" and she'll reply, "no. I'm gonna be a Big Sister!"

So, yeah ... I guess it doesn't help that Daddy's belly is just as big these days!

And John ... do you really have to ask the question about baseball affiliation? She has a Tommy Glavine Mets jersey hanging in her closet RIGHT NOW!

She did say her brother should be named Gordon, though.

Gordon ... where does she get it from?

She must really like either Alf or "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald." wink.gif

Congrats, Fred!

Gumba! Holy cow, congratulations! I mean, a bit of a tragedy that this kid could grow up to be yet another disappointed Jets fan, but I'm sure he'll be strong enough to pull out of it... probably some good sense on the mother's side of the family?

(congrats, Fred, for real smile.gif)

Hey! How about "Jim Kelly" as first and middle names?

:: snort ::
BKLYNFRED
Jim Kelly ... hmmm ... maybe Scott Norwood!

NASCAR? You know, he was born a Hoosier and started racing just down the road apiece.

Ethan is the coolest boy's name ever in my opinion . . .

go ahead, just say it out loud right now, for practice . . . YOOOODDDDDDDDER OOOOOOOOOOOgatz.

Congrats Fred! You and Liz have a fun time ahead of you. My general name recommendation is to check the social security name database. They have the rankings of different names. If you choose to follow the Christina Method of Naming, you will choose something less popular than 100 and more popular than 750. The second criteria is that people will be able to recogize and pronounce it correctly even though it is not the most popular name. Our sons name was somewhere around 496 when we picked it. Best wishes and best of luck with the name.
