I have a little herb garden and I put in lots of new seeds this year. Some of them were dug up and spread all over by my pup before I put up a little fence. I now have a pretty pink flowering something in there and I'm not sure what it is. Can anyone help me out here? Should I weed it or eat it?

I also have tomato plants I did not plant. Hardy little buggers.

It kind of looks like smartweed to me. You can look here and see what you think. Remember, I'm not 100 percent sure that's what it is, so don't take my word on it.

I think you're right, cher! Thanks!

d- you'd think I'd learn after The Great Daffodil Incident of '99 wouldn't ya;)

Anybody local want some free baby tomato plants? (I'm guessing they're cherry and big purple reseeded from last years crop) I don't want them in the yard with the pup trying to eat everything in sight and tomatos being hazardous to her health.

Here's another web picture of smartweed from this site that closely resembles your picture, M.

I yanked 'em today. Still think they're kinda pretty though. Any tomato takers before I yank them up, too? I only planted 6 tomato plants last year and it looks like about 20 are springing up!
