Heard this on NPR's "All Things Considered" yesterday afternoon.

The Cincinatti community Over the Rhine is on the most endangered historic sites list. Just a brief blurb. I remember reading about it [Over the Rhine] in a Cincy paper I picked up a few years back when there to see the Junkies play.

And from yesterday:

I'll bet there are many communities like this throughout the country (especially in these times). I happen to know of a local band from that area that might consider an event to help this community. Of course, they'll need a support act, and I know a guy from Michigan who....... unsure.gif sorry. I digress.....

Seriously, being an east coast slappy, I really appreciate the value of historic sites in our communities. Here's hoping that citizens become vocal and involved and, ultimately, something is done.

Thanks for sharing this Cher.

Me too. I really hope that people do get involved. The history of the place, as found in many others, is a sad thing to see disappear.
