So I flipped on Fox tonight a few minutes before the start of American Idol (I sure hope Paris goes tonight, but that's neither here nor there) and I hear Karin singing "Born!" After looking around to see if I had somehow flipped on my stereo or computer I realized it was coming from the show "Bones." I wish I could give you some context--to me it looked like some girl had just gotten virtual reality or had her blindness healed or something. Very cool, huh?

Hehe, I just posted the SAME topic over in the TV thread!!

: )

Looks like we're hanging out on the same network!!

I caught that too! Sent a note of congrats to OtR's AOL address.

The scene was really pretty sad - the girl had terminal cancer, acquired from a bogus bone-graft, and the (can't remember her name) artist-character had created a virtual Louvre for her to enjoy in the VR-goggles (the girl was a very talented aspiring artist). I nearly fell off my futon when I heard the opening notes of the song. I wonder who at Fox is the OtR fan,...

I just watched my taped copy of Bones (I had to watch Alias first) and I was sooo thrilled to hear Born! Yay!!!!

I love it when this happens! The feeling is really cool when you hear someone like OtR or the Cowboy Junkies coming from your TV or in a theater. I think the best was the episode of First Watch when the end of the show dissolves into a non-seen sexual encounter between an EMS guy and an ER doc. What was playing in the background but John Hiatt singing "Little Head." I lauged my a$$ off.

My guess is Jeffrey Bell. He's the guy responible for their shout out in "The X-Files" and "Angel." Anybody know if he's involved with "Bones"?

The lead guy in Bones is the same guy who played Angel.
