Anyone read his work? My metals teacher said I should check him out, and I plan on it. I was wondering if anyone has opinions they'd like to share about his stuff. I went to check out a book by him today, and our school library didn't have anything. (jerks.)

Me Talk Pretty One Day is hilarious. Which one did you get?

I've come close to checking that out. The one my teacher says to check out Dress your family in courderouy (spelling?) and denim.. I've listened to little parts of his books, becuase he does that thing where he reads them out loud. Very funny/interesting stuff.

I've never actually read anything he's written, but I have heard several of his essays on This American Life. He's very interesting.

Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim is a lot darker than Me Talk Pretty One Day. I'd recommend starting with Me Talk Pretty, then tackling Corduroy and Denim. His essays on learning French in Me Talk Pretty One Day made me laugh so hard I snorted.
