I’ve finally decided to strike in the open. Hello to all! It’s nice to become a part of this warm, welcoming community. I will settle in and stay a while. In fact, I’m rolled over…like a good dog.
I grew up moving around and still find myself hopping from pad to pad (*ribbit*) around my current town every few years just because I haven’t quite kicked the habit. Sooner or later I’ll figure it out. Nestled among the quiet cornfields and crooked lines of my town is the buried treasure, the University of Illinois. I received my bachelor’s and master’s there but, more importantly, it was the place and time I discovered Over the Rhine.
Aside from the band’s music, the carrot that’s kept me coming back has been Linford’s newsletter writings. Simple, but always with depth. Hits me right in a chakra!
I’ll be in an undisclosed, remote location with no Internet until after New Year, so I probably won’t be posting at all until then. Sorry to eat and run…will get to know many of you soon!

happy holidays, and we'll see you when you get back.

I am a junior in the Dance Department. So I mostly live in a two block radius in Urbana....in between the dance building and Krannert. Yet, I always allow myself to take other classes....Modernist Literature this semester...so excited.
What did you study?

Cool. I was in Speech and Hearing Science and now I work as a speech pathologist in school-age settings.
