Hello all!

Since Kylie was so gracious as to honor me with an honorary apple stamp at the dinner before the Taft show, I thought I'd drop by and make my status official. I met a few of you over the weekend, but I'll go ahead and introduce myself here for those who missed out.

My name is Darryl (and no, I don't have any brothers, so don't ask) Armstrong. Some of you know my cousin Dave who's been around here for some time. But, as Drew said, I'm the smart one in the family (apologies Dave!).

I work as a store manager for Movie Gallery and at the end of January I'll be moving to Las Vegas to fulfill my life-long dream of being a showgirl (No, not really).

I was introduced to Over the Rhine quite a few years ago on the Mark Heard mailing list (not sure if that's even around anymore). I like a wide range of music and I used to write for The Phantom Tollbooth, although I just haven't had the time or motivation to do much writing in the last year.

Anyway, those are a few basics, it's great to be here!

Yep. That's my middle name. My dad died earlier this year in August. David and his beautiful wife have been such a wonderful blessing to my mother and me over the last few months -- I guess that makes him pretty smart. :-)
