Greetings All –
What a lovely weekend – Taft, St. Elizabeth’s…. it was nice to meet you Bill and Kylie. The flowers were absolutely beautiful – we’re glad we could be a part of that. K&L are very lucky to have fans/friends like yourselves.

I’ve been lurkin’ and so now I’ll introduce myself. Let’s see….Probably goes without saying - major fan of OTR. They are the soundtrack of our lives. I am a SAHM with 3 lovelies who also enjoy OTR and can be found singing their songs or pretending to be K&L. : ) I am a New Yawka (LI) but live here in Cincy now – it was a marriage move. Very happy here tho. My husband introduced my to OTR with DNOTY and GDBD but I wasn’t completely hooked until Ohio. Strange…. Now I believe I am a bigger fan than my husband. I can be found jogging to Films For Radio – great cd for running… Anyway – that’s me. Never have been a part of a message board community before – have no idea even how to post – really – we’ll see if this shows up. I’ll drop in occasionally – have to get rid of that “Newbie” tag. Envious of all you sluts with missions!!

As for the “LaLa”, it is my daughter’s nickname – not some reference to Ashlee Simpson as had once been suggested [insert Karin’s arm pose from St. E’s]. Ciao folks – happy holidays and if you live in Cincy, stay warm!! wink.gif

Welcome! Hey, I grew up outside of NY, (well, I'm still growing up, heh heh) so big waves to you from the East Coast. Thanks for the tip that Films for Radio is good for running. I don't have that one, and I've gotten away from listening to music when running (used to listen to radio, and the CD player skipped). Would be fun to try that again with a better CD player! More runnin' music tips are always appreciated!

glad to see you're out of lurking. hope you find this place as comfortable as i do. smile.gif

Aah, Luke... we missed you & Nichole yesterday. Karin was telling us about how she was afraid she wouldn't have a voice for Saturday night's show and was pondering whether she would have to lip-sync the show, like Ashlee Simpson. Then someone pointed out that she'd have to do the weird dance, too. And somehow the dance has arm movements that look like what you're supposed to do when you're in Australia & encounter an emu in the wild...too funny.

Anyway, LaLa, I'm glad you've rejoined us. I saw you chatting with Bill yesterday, but I inexcusably did not come over & introduce myself. I'm just up the road in Dayton, so our paths may cross at another concert.

Thanks everyone for the nice messages. smile.gif I look forward to learning more about all of you and I’m sure I will be seeing some of you at upcoming Cincinnati area shows. Ciao!

Welcome to the orchard! I'm from upstate NY (White Plains to Cortland to Ossining to Fishkill) but have been living on Long Island almost 29 years now, also a marriage move.

Well I guess I can't dispute kentuckiannna anymore, this really is LaLa land now! laugh.gif Glad to have you here, hopefully I'll see you my next trip to southern Ohio (my second home).

Fishkill - is that by Hopewell Junction? Sounds familiar. If so, family there.

I grew up about 3 towns away from you - Bellport. We have family in W.Bayshore as well. It will be nice to meet you at a show sometime and chat about NY! I have often thought I'd love to see them at Jones Beach...

And I like that "LaLa Land".

Yeah, in fact I graduated from John Jay HS in Hopewell Junction. Strangely enough, my kids' high school (Bay Shore) keeps beating my alma mater in the girls' softball state finals every year, so I generally don't tell my fellow alumni where I live now. unsure.gif
