i don't think it's that uncommon for lyrics to change slightly from their "published" (which is probably a "legal" act) and "performance" versions. i notice this quite a bit by many artists. i would guess for publishing rights/copyright/legal issues that they remain in writing one way even though the artist(s) may change them slightly during peformances, both live and/or recorded.

but, whatever happened to that thread about "karin's craptacular diction", the girl has been know to slur a word or two in her performances.
