Well yall, I finally decided to chime in. I'm not much of an IM-er, but I can talk OTR all day long, so how could I resist? Plus, I'm kinda on a high, because some friends and I just saw OTR in Chicago last weekend after a long drought...it was quite refreshing. I'm originally from Chicago...went to school in Indiana...my family now lives in Florida...and I live in Omaha. I love it here, but would love it even more if OTR would plan a gig here once in a while as they're touring the midwest! Believe it or not, we actually do have electricity here dry.gif

So here's a question for ya...prior to the 10:00 show last week, me and my friends ate at the Bad Dog Tavern across the street from the Old Town School of Folk Music...is it just a coincidence, or is there any relation to Good Dog Bad Dog???

Awwww...I was at that show, wish I had known so I could've said hi. sad.gif

Having said that, I'll be making the drive down to Omaha next week for the U2 show, so maybe our paths will almost cross again. wink.gif

glad to see you found this place. i too was at both (excellent) shows at the old town school last saturday and love that little venue (and chicago in general). several of us were just down the street from you @ "the daily bar" pre-show.

btw, i'm sure the name "bad dog tavern" is just a coincidence. but a cool one nonetheless.

welcome. poke around and drop in as time allows.

Either that, or they just say, "OMAHA?!?!?" As if to wonder if there really is civilization here other than Native Americans hundreds of years ago.

yeah, sometimes we get that too. especially if we just say kansas. oh, and we get all the oz references too. "yes, yes...as a matter of fact i DO know dorothy."

I've never been to Kansas, but I've seen them live twice. wink.gif

Yeah, not sure which one would be more annoying. I might have to go with the whole Wizard of Oz reference. Sorry you have to deal with people's stupidity!

DRAT! We tried to get tix to the U2 show, but no such luck...we waited "in line...online" for tix about 25 minutes prior to the sale, and still weren't lucky enough. We did, however, get tix to see Coldplay in '06, so we're pretty stoked about that.

However...there's still ways to get in. Check your PM's. smile.gif
