Hello...

Hey, how do I import the pm file that I sent myself into Excel, so I can save them and, you know, actually read them?

Thanks

Dusty

ps - if there's a thread for this, sorry, I didn't notice it!

Why not just read them on the site?

I don't know Excel well enough to tell you how to import into it. There are some Excel experts around; maybe one of them will chime in.

As the regional Excel guru... why, for the love of all that is holy or potentially holy, would you want to read PMs in Excel?

Or are you trying to do something completely different?

OK... here's the scoop - my PM file is getting too big, but I don't want to delete them all. So, I noticed you could export them, or so it says... and it says to "import" them back into excel, without say how to do that exactly. So I am trying to figure out how to do that. Exactly.

Looks like this:

Try "Open" in Excel. In the dropdown choose "All File Types." Then the file should show up. It might be Tab-delimited or Comma-Separated Value. I sent my Excel data file to my email; I'll be able to check it tonight. But I imagine the instructions above will work.

Another choice would be to choose the "HTML" option rather than the "Importable MS Excel datafile."
