Has anyone seen this film yet?

I saw it today, and really liked it. Similar to Jumanji (both Chris Van Allsburg books), but this one is superior. I despise predictable, formulaic Hollywood kid films, and this one started off that way. The older whiney brother, bitching about how "unfair" things are, and the picked-on little brother. But, as the film progressed, I saw these child actors as really quite talented. Their actions and dialogue were very natural and realistic. The kids did what typical kids do - played video games, watched SpongeBob, etc. The action and special effects were very cool. Nice little plot twist near the end. Some of the scenes are intense for young kids, especially when the Surround-Sound shakes the theater. Otherwise, I recommend it.

Speaking of Van Allsburg, I just checked a neat little book of his out of the library yesterday. It's called The Widow's Broom, and it's most excellent. Both the story and the illustrations. Check it out. Love the plot twist at the end.
