A couple of nights ago, I decided to go see Harry Potter and the GOF for the 2nd time. It was a 6:30 p.m. viewing, and I was the only one there. Imagine my delight. I was special. They showed the movie for me and me only. I could sit ANYWHERE I chose (middle center). IT WAS TERRIFIC.

Needless to say, I've never had that happen to me before.

cher, you should have called me. i *still* haven't seen the movie, and probably won't get to any time soon. i'm booked. sad.gif

oh, well...

and i've never been the *only* one in the theater, but i've been to movies where there's only been a few people. especially at the dollar theater, or anywhere without stadium seating.

I voted no but I have been in a theater where is was just me and my (ex)husband. We two were the only ones. We chose center middle also. The night was very stormy and it was a surreal experience as it was a scary movie we had gone to see. Kindof a twilight zone feeling.

I think the fewest in the theatre for me was when i saw "Ed Wood." I was the only one there during the previews but two folks showed up after that:/ It felt awkward to laugh out loud at the funny parts...the other people seemed unamused.

5 people... for the Re-release of Alien in the theatre. Geekhood at it's finest moment.

i've always thought it would be fun if there was one couple sitting in the theater, and then i came with a friend and we sat on each side of the couple. it breaks the unwritten rule in proper theater seating. someday i'll do it!

That happened to me once. Don't remember the movie though.

But also, one time I went to a movie with my friend, and we were the only two in the theater. that was fun, because we could make all kinds of snide remarks.

LOL! I can only imagine how uncomfortable you must have felt at times, but what the hell, Ed Wood was a GREAT movie! Depp and Parker were excellent together. I would have been snorting.

When I was 7 or 8 or 9, my parents dropped my sister (younger) and I off at the movie theater for a double feature...it served as 'the baby sitter'. Haha...

Anyway, we watched 'Pinocchio'...and we were the only ones in the theatre.
I remember running up and down every row of seats, counting, trying to see who could figure out how many seats there were first (this must have been before I was taught times-tables).

I also remember being very scared of the whale.

Several years ago I went with a couple of friends to a 9:00 show on a Monday night at a dollar theatre. The only other people in the theatre was a high school couple who looked very disappointed when we showed up--it seemed that they had been hoping for some "alone" time. ;-) Of course, we decided to sit directly behind them...

When The Grudge was in its last couple of days in the theater, there were only 5 of us there. It would've been okay if it were a comedy but it most certainly wasn't and it was very unsettling.

Well, I've been at Bridget Jones' with a friend of mine. We were the only guys there between too many girls and women.
Big fun, but we decided to drink beer, talk about cars and guns and leave the toilet seat up just to make sure we were still part of the hunting kind.

in college, i went to see "good will hunting" and was the only one there.

i was one of two (we were both alone) at a daytime showing of "magnolia" in january 2000.

No, but I have been one of only a handful of people in a theater.

I enjoy going to movies by myself, especially if it's something I really really really want to see. However, it's usually more fun with a date!!
