Last night, the University held its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. This is a great tradition which allows clubs and organizations, faculty and staff to create an ornament each year to hang on the tree. I'm including the Vandy ornament that I created and then one that was created by the GLB club on campus. What a hoot!

and
thanks for starting this thread. it still looks like autumn here where I am, except that there are cut Christmas trees for sale when you drive past garden centers and such around here
i wanna post some pics here too, since i finally figured out how to on the Fall Pictures one, and then the colored leaves kinda curled up, blew away, or all turned brown...

I hate the cold... and I hate the snow. The only good thing about winter is that women up here start wearing those smokin' winter boots. And those boots are well... uh, yeah... smokin'.
I hope these aren't too big. I took them last year around town:

Still no snow here, but I did take a few in the XMas spirit today:
Blue ShuttersI just love these doors of the local Episcopalian church. It's a white limestone block building and the red just pops! I've been waiting for them to bedeck them, so my business partner, who knows the pastor and his wife, called them yesterday to see if I could bring a wreath and take photos today. They said yes. However, when I got there this morning, they had already put wreaths up on both sets of doors. How lovely, and you should see the great XMas cards they made. I sold them all at the Open House today and have orders for more.

Our first really good dose of snow just happened to come a few hours before Over The Rhine hit the stage... so everyone had to drive through it. I was hoping to make it early enough to hang out and mingle with some people. But with the snow I was lucky to make it there just before the show started.

It is snowing here in DC...but I don't have a camera to take a picture of it. Plus, outside my window, I have the scenic view of the Whitehurst freeway...so you won't see anything besides the cars whizzing by and the building across the street.

Dude,
I hope you keep posting pictures, because they're incredible! I have been checking all three picture threads regularly lately to see if you've posted anything new.
Most of us here are merely amatuers, but those pictures are professional and worth of art status. I love to take pictures but don't seem to find time for it anymore so I am really enjoying your photos.
Some of these would make excellent Christmas cards. I would be interested in knowing what you would charge to use one of your pictures to print my own cards?

Well, I have Verizon and they provide an Online Album... but I think it's 25 cents to send, but I might have a plan where it's cheaper. Anyhoo... you can either do something like that or send it to your email thru your phone.

I can't take credit for the photo. This is the famous Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox right on Lake Bemidji in Bemidji, MN. Lastnight I took my boyfriend who is from Kenya down to see the lights, he had never seen anything like this before. I was happy to share the beautiful lights w/ him and w/ all of you.
