A file that big?
It might be very useful.
But now it is gone.
The web site you seek
Cannot be located but
Countless more exist.
Windows NT crashed.
I am the blue screen of death.
No one hears your screams.
Stay the patient course.
Of little worth is your ire.
The network is down.
A crash reduces
Your expensive computer
To a simple stone.
Three things are certain:
Death, taxes, and lost data.
Guess which has occurred.
Serious error.
All shortcuts have disappeared.
Screen. Mind. Both are blank.

As fate would have it, my workshop assignment this week is to write a haiku (sorry Paul) and a tanka.
sunsets inspire awe
but insight more often rides
the cold rays of dawn
It shines,
this memory of young love,
like a radio--
all music and mahogany
polished to a warm glow.
As you can see, I'm not above pilfering a simile from K&L, although I've changed the associated image.

Sweet mother of Christ,
Bruce, you lie and lie and lie
about your fat heart.
It (your heart, that is)
is still small, cold, unloving,

Do not deceive the
