Today is the 3rd Thursday of November, and that means one thing in the Wine World...





That's right. Everyone's favorite soft, fruity red is here in abundance. Some places hold special midnight "premiers" for this...but it's kinda silly, seeing as the wine's going to be the same at 12:00 PM on Thursday as it is at 12:00 AM on Thursday.

The plane shipment is in right now, so the price is a little higher (still, $10 is pretty much the high end), but as soon as the boat shipment hits, you'll see $4 and $5 Nouveaus everywhere.

These wines don't age well (then again, most wine isn't meant for aging), so drink it up in the next 3 mos. or so.

funny. rachael (zoey) and i were in paris for the release party of the beaujolais nouveau. it was our last night in paris and every street and cafe had a party on it...the wine was flowing! we thought paris was throwing us a going away party til we realized it was for the wine...we still like to think it was for us though.

Louis Jadot...first Beaujolais I had...on a date no less....it was nice...this time of year, too!
