they are just designations based on number of posts. "newbie" implies "new to the board/orchard", which you are, no other implications. and as jeanne said, around post 26 it goes to "member" then other groupings based on number of posts, the "titles" for the groupings are all based on lines from OtR songs.

don't fret. it's no big deal, we were all "newbies" once...
