give each of my family members (mom, dad, brother) money so that they would be set for life.
set up trust funds for children/grandchildren, so that they would be set as well.
give a bunch of money to different charities.
pay all of my bills.
...sadly, though, i would give up the hope that any man would meet me and want to marry me for love.

I'm not gonna lie,...
I'd go shopping. Shoe shopping, jeans shopping, car shopping(you can never have enuf Jettas), smelly stuff shopping, etc. Yeah.

I'd probably take my mom with me, and buy her a lot of stuff... and I'd have my parent's house professionally decorated... esp. the kitchen.
I'd give the rest of my family some money.
I'd get out of school loan debt.
I'd give to charities.
I'd travel all over Europe.
I'd have a beach house on Maui and in North Carolina. And a cabin in Maine.
Oh yeah, and I'd give Keith, Bill, Michelle, and Dave some money b/c they've helped me out in the past.

But, who needs money anyway...

Well, if you ever get the chance to go, do drop by!
I would pay off the loans on the house, and then (hopefully) give away what's left to charity.

Build my dream house on a deserted beach somewhere in Mexico, move there, get hitched and start having kids. Aaah, that would be nice.

Still thinking about what I'd do with my countless millions!

I often have plans for when I'm an eccentric billionaire. Some of which include:
* New pair of socks every day
* At a relatively new movie, hire about 80 people to go into the theater (scattered about) and wear some fancy electronic device so when I give the signal, they all laugh. At really weird moments. And see what the rest of the people think.
* Get a comfortable home with a rooftop deck in Seville
* Get a comfortable home with a pool in Sedona
* Travel more

right after i left the porsche dealership i would do many of the things mentioned above. some of the first things i would do would be to set up a managed trust for callie and zach, so they would never have to worry about anything financially. secondly, i would have all of my parent's and sister's bills sent to my accountant and taken care of, again, no worries for them. ever. then i would take a substantial percentage and set up a charitable trust aimed at helping kids in some way, probably geared towards the abused or kids that have removed from their homes/families for some reason.
then after that was done, i would have fun. i would buy/build my dream home here, buy a condo in new york with a view of central park and a beach house somewhere in a small town on the carolina coast.
then for work, i would build a club (not sure where), a comfortable place with great sound, nice dressing rooms, that seats 300-500 people, etc. one aimed at bands like OtR, cowboy junkies, etc where they and their fans could play and enjoy them in a nice, quality venue with the respect and amenities that they both deserve. the cool thing is if i were rich, i wouldn't even have to worry about it being a profitable venture...just a place for me , friends and other like-minded individuals to listen to good music.
oh, yeah, if there was anything left, i'd buy a single or double "a" carolina league baseball team. much for the same reason, so i could just relax, watch and enjoy some good, fun baseball, whenever i wanted.
~~if nothing else i can dream, i can dream~~
{edit: i think thay should give you a special prize if you buy a $5 lottery ticket and don't hit one

number. not one!

I'd get the hell out of the midwest, move to England, and build my own recording studio. Oh, and I'd probably buy a few new guitars.

Stop dreaming of winning.
Then, pay off bills, take care of my family and a few close friends much like Bill's already stated. For fun, I would buy the Pantheon Theater and toally restore it. Then again, as Bill, set it up as a place for good entertainers. As it was also a movie theater in later years, I would set the projection room back up and bring in indie/arts films. And, I would set up a used bookstore/coffeeshop on the upper floors. I would also set up a gallery to showcase my photos and other local artists' pieces. Kind of a cultural haven I guess.
After that, I would support PBS and some other philanthropic charity(ies).
Ahhhhhhh, the fun of dreaming.

First thing, buy a house -- a nice old bungalow-style house with wood floors and French doors and bay windows. The kind that screams old central Florida, the kind that's disappearing as more and more modern houses crop up. I'd fix everything that needed fixing and decorate the hell out of it, making sure I had a couple kick-ass guest rooms.
I'd pay off my car.
I'd pay off my mama's mortgage, then pay off my dad's.
With whatever was left, I'd do my best to help people in need and causes I support -- give to local charities, give to NPR, invest in ethically sound businesses. And I'd try to set up a trust for my later years, so I could have whatever jobs I wanted without having to worry about what kind of retirement plans they offered.

I'd buy a sailboat of some kind, about 50 feet long, possibly a trimaran. something I could live on and handle alone if need be. I'd definitely get some intense sailing lessons so i didn't kill myself and others. I'd get a nice mountain bike, a canoe or kayak, and the Subaru WRX Wagon I've been lusting after for several years now. Both of my current vehicles would be completely restored, perhaps donated to charity or somesuch.
I don't know where I'd like to live actually, the mountains and the coast, the Caribbean and Europe are all attractive. I'd definitely do a LOT more travelling before I settled on a place to live. A house with a good deal of history would appeal to me.
I'd visit my sister in the Virgin Islands. My dad and stepmom would find themselves able to move about the country again. I wonder how dad would deal with not having to work for The Man anymore... I've no idea what I would do for my mom, we've barely talked at all the last decade. Brandon might profit handsomely somehow.
Finishing college might be a good idea too. I second all the charity suggestions. I'm just trying to figure out what I can do with what I have now, rather than what I fantasize about having.

I'd let the winning lotto ticket expire past its redemption date, then frame it and keep it as a reminder that I'm a lucky dude 'cause I know money isn't everything.

No, really. I'd take a million in cash and pay off whatever I owe, what my family might owe, buy some fun stuff, travel a bit. Take another million and start a business, who knows what. Invest the rest and let millions become billions, so I can do some REAL damage.

Pay off my parent's mortgage and business debts.
Set them up in an ocean front condo on the south side and pay for their monthly maintenance fees.
Pay off my brother's debt.
Tear down my house and rebuild a kickass new house/cabin (with a home theater system).
Pay for the land, engineering and building of a homeless shelter with a drug program (i have no idea what's involved in something like that, so I'd just fund the crap out of it to the people who do know what they're doing).
Buy my friends new, reliable vehicles.
Charter a plane and fly Over the Rhine and Apples to Maui once a year and rent out the Cultural Center for the shows and set you all up in classy digs. And take you to a Lu'au.

asides from the normal pay off debts for myself and family members, go shopping, take a few trips, etcetera - I would also start a non-profit of some sort. I would probably also give my church a million for the new building fund.

all i know is that i wouldn't work.
i would have retreat homes (one urban, one rural) and have my friends and loved ones come to visit, relax, and be.
i'd cook them really good meals, i would!, and i'd have really comfortable beds. i'd have a little oasis... and my school debts would be paid off!
