I'm only posting this here for true Waters fans. If you've never seen a Waters film (Crybaby doesn't count), then you might not want to rent this one.

However, that said, it is a truly wonderful film dealing with addiction, diversity and life in general. The guy at Family who has yet to steer me wrong in film suggestions was a little nervous about my renting this one because as he said,

"It's pretty nasty."

I asked him if he had ever seen a Waters film, and when he said no, I laughed and said, "That explains it."

The cast is great: Tracey Ullman, Chris Isaak, Mink Stole, Patricia Hearst, Selma Blair and a guest cameo by David Hasselhoff.

For true Waters' fans - a must see.

I've been wanting to see this for a while now -- but as your video store clerk made clear, it's hard to find the people to enjoy Waters' films with.

Cecil B. Demented will always be a favorite of mine.

I haven't had the pleasure of seeing that one yet. Dan, run, don't walk then to your nearest video store and grab a copy (NC-17) of course.
