i just got season one of scrubs on dvd and spent an entire afternoon watching the first eight episodes. just couldn't make myself stop watching. i was annoying myself because i was laughing too loud to hear the tele.

it has most certainly joined the holy trio (cheers, simpsons and seinfeld) and might be making a play for the top spot. good stuff.

i heard an ugly rumor that it might get canceled though. anyone else heard that?

It is a grandly funny show, still second to Arrested Development in my world, but that's another one that's on the bubble! tongue.gif
We just watched the first two eps last night on the DVD as well!

Great show... perhaps it's on the bubble b/c Zach wants to persue other interests? His writing and directorial feature film debut was quite nice... (Garden State)...

that the same problem we have...usually the four of us watching keep laughing so loud we end up having to blast it so everyone can hear.

funniest show ever!

I saw on some news website that Zach had filmed a pilot for a new show this fall. I don't recall any of the details (or even the name at this point). I am pretty sure it hadn't been officially "picked up" yet. I love scrubs...but I wouldn't be too broken up if it ended this year. In some ways I feel as if it has started to strain a little. I'd rather they ended it before it became embarassing. Plus...he's a chief resident now...what's he going to do next? A fellowship? Be an attending? It loses the power dynamic that made the show so great...

So after spending a significant portion of my recent Christmas vacation watching seasons one and two on DVD with my little brother I was very excited for tonights season premiere. However, I'm not sure what to think this year; obviously changes had to be made, but it felt to me as if the tone of the show had changed. Are there new writers this year? I still think it was funny, but it felt very different. Kind of like when Coy and Vance substitued for Bo and Luke that season on the Dukes of Hazzard. Hmm...we'll see how this goes...

I started Season 1 a few weeks ago on a whim as I always read/hear good stuff about it.
I love it.
It's so wonderfully enjoyable.
Not only is it so darn funny that it takes me way beyond the realm of simple "yeah, funny show" chuckling into full blown outloud laughter, but I clap when I'm really cracked up.
Open-mouth guffaws.
No shit.

The nurses are great.
The park bench showdown was great.
The Sean Hayes episode was great.
Dr. Cox is GREAT.

I've got the last disc of Season 1 left to watch. I'm looking forward to see how they wrap it up. And yes, Season 2 is already on my queue. *wink*

For anyone who saw this week's episode...

That made me crack up...and realized that I hadn't ripped any
Toto onto my laptop--my Ipod is now rockin' with Africa and Rosanna... cool.gif

Just for the record, they have a ton more great songs than that. wink.gif

Except their new album still doesn't have a U.S. release date...score another point for the internets...it's a really great album. Probably the most progressive record they've made yet.

i heart scrubs.

the end.

We've missed you, Zoey!

Apparently this season is going to be the last, as Zach Braff is leaving the show...I guess NBC is going to be lame and have it as a mid-season replacement like they did last year.

I just got the first season DVD's, and we were watching them on the plane on the way back from L.A, and episode 5 spawned my new avatar. smile.gif
