I wanted to say hello,

I am so glad this board is here. Just a little about myself. I am 30, live in Minnesota, I enjoy photography, the outdoors, and woodworking. I am a huge OTR fan. I first saw them at Cornerstone in the early 90's. I thought they were pretty good and ever since then they have become more incredible every time I see and hear them. Thats about it for now.

I am currently in Minnetonka and might be moving to the Crystal area soon. I don't know how the weather is out there but today was one of those spring like days when the snow was melting and it was in the 40's and the sun was warm on your face. It brings the hope of spring even closer.

Nice to meet you.

Hey Erik, welcome to the orchard! I've been to Minnetonka a couple of times on business, meeting with the folks at Fingerhut. It was... well, it was cold!

erik--
minnetonka is a great area; if memory serves, a perfect example of what's great about minneapolis--close proximity to both culture and nature. i'm a little sorry to admit this, but my family lives in edina. unsure.gif but i would like to say for the record that of the places to be in minneapolis/st. paul, edina is NOT the best (in my opinion...) how far out is crystal? i can't remember... is it sort of like stillwater in it's proximity to the cities? i have really missed the woods of minnesota; where i grew up, in bemidji, and really all over rural mn, the woods seem unlike any others. maybe its just my nostalgia, but i miss the beauty of the stillness there--peaceful and even eerie, but beautiful.
yes, we've been having some really nice weather out here recently; some days that have crept up into the 50's even. spring is starting to flirt with us & it's so lovely.
hope your move goes well, if you decide to head out crystal-way. smile.gif

Actually Crystal is in the Robbinsdale Plymoth New Hope area, not far at all from Minnetonka. You gotta love Minnseota in the spring, one day it is in the 40's and sunny and 2 days later there is a 20 degree wind chill and freezing out. angry.gif

ah yes, the march minnesota mood swings... i know them well. spring can be such a tease. we're getting that a little here in ny--we had a whole week of gorgeous weather, followed by several days of nasty snow/rain combination, but it doesn't compare at all to the severe cold you all are getting. i'm sorry. but hang in there--spring WILL make it!!
Bosh

I've been to lots of Cowboy Junkies concerts, but last fall, at the Guthrie in Minneapolis, was one of the best ever. It's great have such a full house in such a fine venue!!!
