Ok so what's the deal, doesn't anyone think this is one of the best cds by linford and karin. I guess I have always had this thing about liking the first cds by any group, but I really am crazy about this one. I mean I do appreciate all of OTR's other cds but this one just always sticks out to me. I think this one has the most poetic lyrics. "It's an indication, your my destination. I hope it's not just my imagination" By far the best line to close a song off. And Paul and Virginia, you have to love the cd for that song at least.
What can I say i'm a big fan of the Old OTR. Anyone else here, feeling the old school?? rolleyes.gif

I'm an old school fan, too, but I like Patience just a little bit better. Still, so many favorites are on this one: Ubiquitous Hands, Like A Radio, Sea & Sky, If I'm Drowning...

Ooh! If I'm Drowning is definitely on my OtR top ten!

I totally agree with you!!! Patience is probably my second favorite!!! I feel like it has such a dark, mysterious tone to it that has escaped OTR over the years.

Ubiquitous Hands, Sea & Sky, and If I’m Drowning are amazing songs. I would be the happiest girl in the world if I ever heard OTR do one of those songs! biggrin.gif

Well, I've heard all three, but not in a long, long time. 1996, if I recall correctly. I'd love to hear them all again, though. biggrin.gif

At present, I'm just hoping to make their show at the IOSF in New Hampshire this summer. They're the only band I'd go for, especially considering the typical fifty-minute no-encore sets that festival usually allows. Hmmm.

This was my favorite for the longest time, but OHIO just might unseat it. Time will tell, although having a favorite OtR album or song is like having a favorite child - you gotta love them all.

There's something about music....

Whenever I listen to TWHF, I can't help but be immediately transported back in time to when I first saw OTR on stage in 1991. TWHF was all there was at the time. I was a bit....a-hem...let's just say I was having a good evening...but I remember sitting inside the bar, on benches outstretched in front of a tiny stage, about 2 rows back, right in the middle, seeing this willowy figure step to the front of the stage. I remember a very long draping dress, and long wavy hair. Oddly, and perhaps ironically, I don't remember that she had a face! Then she opened her mouth and those first sweet notes came pouring out and hung over the audience. My brother and I looked at each other and immediately decided to buy the one available CD from this little bar band from Cincy.

There are a lot of other memories from that CD, but that'll do for now....a time so innocent....
