At some point can we get some more help as to what this means for conversation? If the religion ban has been there for awhile, what made the "Christ is risen" topic more controversial than other topics that were not closed (or maybe I should check if more has been closed).
Not to be sarcastic, and I do respect that this is not our turf but Karin and Linford's, but does this mean we shouldn't talk about Jesus in New Orleans or Long Lost Brother or Changes Come or A Gospel Number? To name a few? I guess as a religious person it is hard to know how to parse. And I know the same has been difficult for political people.
edit: Drew's second post regarding why Christ is risen was closed came while I was writing this.
Thanks for your message. Because the makeup of the religious beliefs of this forum are quite diverse, the decision was made long ago to call religion off-topic (along with other divisive topics).
Certainly you can separate discussion about CHANGES COME, JESUS IN NEW ORLEANS and other songs from the type of content in the CHRIST IS RISEN topic. The former is okay, the latter is not. We want people to be sensitive to the fact that not everyone believes the way they do. Personally, I don't close topics or anything until/unless I get complaint PMs, then it is my duty to handle it. Generally, the first step is to post a reminder message, and the second is to close the topic. In the case of the CHRIST IS RISEN thread, I'd gotten a large number of complaints, so I went ahead and closed it down.
Above all, remember that this is a
band forum and not intended to be the be-all-end-all of forums. There are better places than this to discussion topics like religion.

Wow do they pay you for this task? Do you purchase Tylenol in bulk?
No, and yes.
