Alright it's still five weeks away, but I am hoping that the PNW people might be able to recruit some new orchard members through our fun evening. Here is the pertinent information as far as I have thought.
Location: My house (I'm not putting my address in the thread, and please don't anyone else). I will pm you an address and directions if you like.
Time: Anytime after 6:00. Until time to leave for venue (~8:00).
What: Good food made by myself and my elves and hanging out with other cool people you have always wished to meet (althought some you may not have known you wanted to meet). I plan to shop for ingredients a couple days ahead of time, so please saing in early and often.
Who: Any orchard member or person attending headed to the concert who knows or tags along with an orchard member. I plan to shop for ingredients a couple days ahead of time, so please sign in early and often. (I don't encourage that behavior with voting)
Contributions: None are required, but feel free to bring something to share if you want. Also if you want any alcohol prior to getting to the Tavern, you should bring your own libations.
Note: please no firearms/weapons, no illegal substances, and please do not smoke in the house.
The List of attendees:
1. Christina & and least 6 possible orchard recruits

Okay, we've bought tickets to the Tractor, pre-ordered the new album so we'll know the new songs they're bound to play, booked a hotel (Holiday Inn- about 4 miles south of the venue) and we plan on arriving in the area a little before check-in time and wandering for the afternoon. I haven't had the luxury of a hurry-free day in Seattle yet. I'm looking forward to our first over-night alone as a married couple in over four years. *grin* We can shop in the "don't touch anything" boutiques, get coffee in quiet places without shushing, walk as far as we like without whining or dropped binkies, and have uninterrupted conversations with other adults!!! Wow. It's the little joys, you know?
I'd love to get to know the people who might attend a little better in the meanwhile. How far do you (Christina) live from the area (inside an hour's drive, etc)? Your event sounds like fun. Its hard to make small talk in a noisy tavern (plus, who would dare with glory like that as background noise?), and I so look forward to meeting people from the Orchard.
Keep me posted, and count us in!

WOW! and what a troll, too! that is too great. we *must* stop and make friends with the poor fellow while we're in the neighborhood.
I've been meaning to ask you, aaron, as an aside, the neato avatar that you and others on the board have used in the past look very similar. (keith from NY, for example- yours has recently become the venerable zebra, but you're still using the type I'm talking about on your live journal entries) I was just wondering where they come from? I've seen them all over the web lately. Are they a livejournal only thing, or what?
Restless with my avatars...
