On the lead track of the album, her voice doesn't sound like she's singing "I want Bruce to be my love" anymore. What gives? Do we have another Paul and Zinnia on our hands?

Actually, I can answer this one...
When it was gonna be titled BORN, they were going to use "I want Bruce to be my love".
But when it changed to DRUNKARD'S PRAYER, they changed the line in the song to "I want Drew to be my love", which is much stronger for so many reasons. However, printing of the booklet and associated materials was already under way, and sadly no one caught a typo... The tray liner incorrectly titles the song, "I Want You To Be My Love".
Karin & Linford, thoughtful as they are, personally called me on the DrewPhone and offered to pull the incorrect booklets, tray liners, and CDs and reprint. I, thoughtful as I am, declined, explaining that I didn't want to delay the release of the CD to the waiting fans.
Just know that it is, correctly, "I Want Drew To Be My Love" in title and in lyric (though the 'placeholder' lyric can be faintly heard in a lot of the song... the 'placeholder' was "you" until K&L could secure licensing to use The Drew, which they gratefully received).
Ah, the interesting world behind-the-scenes of the music industry!

That also makes sense that it's called
Drunkard's Prayer now...

Oh, but if we could only place italics in thread titles. For a second there I thought Bruce had been taken hostage by one of those hundred or so that he dragged off to an OTR concert and stood daftly by as they hated it, who now, being fully in control of their wits had forced him to write "it doesn't sound like she's singing to me." Rather than, "It doesn't sound like she's singing
to me."
Maybe I need work on my own grammar, ya think?

On my official pre-release (that I got when I knocked, local WFFD program manager, Steelan A. Kraploed in the head and ran away quick like the wind before the Babylon Five could tail my ass) I found that I hear:
"Sky rockets in the night, afternoon delight"
I did steal the right disc didn't I?

It seems to me like Karin's been singing about most of the Orchard men for a while now ...
Lifelong Fling:" ... lying up in heaven with my special
Fred ..."
Faithfully Dangerous:" ... stroke your skin, there are
Keith marks to be sure ..."
Changes Come, during the misheard "Jesus come" section:
"
Steve, just come, turn my world around ..."

Am I the only one here who wouldn't want to be in a song? That'd creep me out knowing anyone who heard it would wonder who I was.
In fact, that's exactly why almost no one I know knows the name of the band I'm in. It'd just be too weird for me if I was "that guy with that song".
