Adding an attachment (or attachments) to your message is easy. Either post a new topic or reply to an existing one.

Below the "Enter your Post" area is the "File Attachements" area. In this area, you specify a list of file(s) to attach to the post.

To add attachment(s) to the bottom of your post:
* Go to the "File Attachements" area.
* "Browse" to find the file you'd like to attach.
* Once you've found it, click "Add This Attachment" to add it to the post. There may be a slight delay while the file is uploaded to the Orchard.
* Repeat for other attachments.

To place the attachment (or attachments) anywhere in your post:
* Next to the attachment you wish to add, click the button called "Add into Post". A link to your attachment will be added to your post. The format looks like this:
CODE
[attachmentid=####]
where "####" is a number that corresponds to your attachment. Wherever this code appears is where the corresponding attachment will be displayed. You can move the code if you wish.
* Repeat for other attachements.

Attachements that are not added into the post will appear at the bottom of the post.

If you've changed your mind and wish to remove a specific attachement from your post, click the "Remove" button next to the attachement to remove it. Note that if you've added the attachment to the post you'll need to go through the post and remove
CODE
[attachmentid=####]
for the attachment you've removed.

What happened to the "Add Into Post" button? I was going to use it this morning and it wasn't there. I'm not so fond of the pictures as "attachments"

You have to add the picture into your post as an attachment before the "Add Into Post" button appears.

Follow the steps above and see if it works better for you. Let me know!

Okay, Drew, thanks! (I see that now when I hit "Edit Post".)

Next question: Can we make anything bigger than the thumbnails show up in the post without linking to pictures on another site? (I guess it's helpful for people with slow connections, but I don't like it.) If not, I'll adapt, but I thought I'd ask.

I have the same question.

I could host the pics on my site, but thought this would be simpler. But now my kitties are so tiny!!!

Sorry... I think that's by design from the creators of the forum. If users want to see the pics, they can click on them. If they don't want to see them, we don't waste the bandwidth of sending a larger picture. It's a performance balance for fast-connection and not-so-fast-connections...

I suspected that was the case & the reasoning behind it, but I thought I'd check anyway.

Thanks for being so patient with all the Q & A's.

It is my sincere pleasure to assist! I'm learning this new software too, so the questions help me direct my learning.

Let me know any other comments!
