anyone planning to watch the new show "medium" tonight (after duran duran on las vegas)?

I think it looks like a re-used story line. Whatever that show was where the guy got the newspaper a day early. "Early Edition" I think.

it was pretty good. think i'll give another epi a watch.

also: mostly all shows have the same story line since the beginning of tv: doctors, lawyers, police, cheating husbands and wives, lost people,...

Possibly why I don't watch a lot of tv.

I watched the episode that was on the other night. I think it was just the second one. I liked it a lot. Really slow-paced, deadpan, all about characters.... my kinda stuff! That scene where the woman went berserk in the hospital room was brilliant!

yeah -- so far i'm enjoying it.

like that the medium has a bad memory. also happy she and her hubby are not the glamorous bollywood types ~ just the guy & girl next in line at walmart kind of people.

peace,

I'm about 6 episodes away from finishing Season 1.
I'm quite fond of it.

I love Patricia Arquette and I'm psyched she's got this part.**

Like Zayne, I dig the whole "psychic with a bad memory" deal. And I like that most stuff's really not clear, that's it's jumbled and needs to be figured out - that it's never presented as "mystic-y" or "spacey mumbo-jumbo". It's very everyday people-ish and presented that way too.

*circles & snaps*

**Which is exactly how I feel about Kyra Sedgwick and The Closer, Kudos, homegirl K. I just finished Season 1 and enjoy it more than Medium.

You know, I was never a fan of Kyra Sedgwick -- it wasn't that I disliked her or anything, she just struck me as a Julia Roberts-wannabe or something (I can't explain it; is it possible they played sisters or something in some film along the way? [Yeah, I know I could look it up, but ...]), and I basically had no feelings on her ability (or lack thereof) whatsoever ... and then I caught an episode of The Closer, and I absolutely LOVED her in it!

What a GREAT character, and she is perfect for the role!

As a matter of fact, they did play sisters in Something To Talk About - which was actually a pretty cute film. Dennis Quaid, Gena Rowlands and Robert Duvall had much to do with that for me. I'd forgotten about that flick till you made the sister comment. 'Twas like a lightbulb goin' off... no IMDB help necessary... *bows* (i'm not sure if i should be so proud, admitting that, but F it biggrin.gif )

I finished Medium over the weekend and I take back my "liking Closer better than Medium" comment... I don't like one more than the other anymore, I now very very much like both shows. The extras for Medium were great too, they got into how the show came about and had a whole section on Allison DuBois - cool stuff.

ps: Did I mention Patricia Arquette is a badass?
