2 new things...
1) As reported on nme.com today, Sigur Rós will release a double compliation album on November the 5th (UK) - called Hvarf-Heim. No mentionof North American release date, but probably Nov 6th. The first part, Hvarf, will have studio versions of unreleased songs, ’salka’, ‘hljómalind’, ‘í gćr’ and ‘von’ - all four live favourites from over the years. The second disc is called Heim, and will have acoustic studio versions of ’samskeyti’, ’starálfur’, ‘vaka’, ‘ágćtis byrjun’, ‘heysátan’ and ‘von’.
2) The world premier of the trailer for the new Sigur Rós tour documentary film called Heima is HERE: http://www.heimafilm.com/ It's set for a Fall '07 release date. The trailer looks GORGEOUS as far as cinematic things go... it makes me wanna go to Iceland on a vacation in the near future.

The veritably good Kronos Quartet* has a single for Sigur Rós's "Flugufrelsarinn" on iTunes. It fits in with Sigur's catalogue nicely, especially for only 99˘.
