So, anyone else watch the premeire of House MD tonight? I am not big on ye olde Hospital Drama but by the director of X-men? I just couldn't pass it up!
I thought it had a strong start and will be interested to see wher it goes.
Thoughts? Comments? Revulsion at having the brain-worms?

I watched it, pretty good. I think I just like Hugh Laurie though, if he wasn't on there I probably wouldn't like it.
And by the way, the whole prison tattoo ink being affected by the MRI/Catscan thing is a bunch of malarchy.

I Googled "tattoo ink mri", and the results were interesting. Not common, but not quite malarchy either.
I love this show ... it's one we make sure we watch every week. We got addicted to it when we stumbled upon it after American Idol last year.
Peace & hope,

I haven't ever seen any actual proof that it causes problems.(I just looked on google also) On Mythbusters they made a pigment almost entirely out of Iron and tattooed a piece of pig and put it into the MRI and it didn't do anything to the image.
But slight swelling will occur in tattooed areas if you get slapped on them. So I guess some weird magnent action might feel funny for a little bit if you have some heavy metalic pigment.

As far as MRI's and tattooing, no problem. Instead, I got HCV. It's killing me (literally).
But I still love House MD!!!!

Evidently they are airing the new House episodes at 8pm EST during the month of September, according to the Fox Networks web site.

This week's episode gets two awards from me.
The first award wins hands-down for Worst Acting of a Person Accused of Having Autism. The kid sucked.
The second award matches last season's episode of Boston Legal for Best Handling of Autism/Aspergers on network television. Dr. House, odd as he is, "got" it right.

First I'd heard/paid attention to this show was when Hugh Laurie won the Golden Globe. I made a mental note then fluttered away into the rentings of Medium and The Closer and Entourage and L Word S3 (downward sprial into the ridiculous at light speed).
Well, Season 1: Disc 1 arrived Thursday and to date I'm 2 discs/8 eps in.
Love it. Totally freaking love it. It was obvious to me after just the Pilot episode why he won the GG. He's seriously badass - to the extent that I'm kinda with Kevin on this one. If it was somebody else in that part it may not have have glued itself to me.
Hugh Laurie = Liquid Nails.
Some other actor in Hugh Laurie's part = Elmer's Glue. Maybe.
I do enjoy seeing (gazing at) Omar Epps in a regulary appearing TV series though. That doesn't hurt either.

Is anyone else feeling a bit fed up with the dear doctor these days? I mean, I know he is House and all but enough is enough! Admit that you were wrong and stop trying to get your staff into trouble!

Yes, I am finding this season to be going over the top with House's arrogance. I would like them to resolve this drug charge story soon and move on.

i love house -- but not really this season's guy.
a bit too over the top to me.
AND -- hate the cop -- but think that's the point of his appearing -- yet he too is a bit over the top. he wouold lose his badge (in most states) for his behavior.
AND FINALLY -- where have i seen that cop before? what has he played in?

So Fox's House webby was running a poll about whether people "got" Wilson's remark about "30 pieces of silver" and so far 53% of pollees didn't get the allusion. To me that seems like a sadness.

You know, this used to be a good show. But last night... the brain shock thing, and the drug charges, and the judge and the cop and the memories disappearing and blah blah blah. They lost me. Swami Troy predicts that show nose-diving in short order.

Yeah, this season really sucks for this show. I don't know what is up with the writing, but it's corny. Something needs to change - fast.

He was good. Even better, Kurtwood Smith (who plays Red on That 70s show) did an awesome job playing Dave's father.
IMO, it may have been the best House episode this season.

Oh! I love Red!!
I know some folks haven't been as keen on this season as the past ones but I'm still plenty excited for when it comes out on DVD... David Morse, Dave Matthews, RED!?! Awesome.

I thought Dave Matthews did an amazing job. I have never seen him act in anything before, so I consider this musician having a bigger task switching forms of entertainment.
But, I agree that was one of the better episodes this year - not much competition for being "the best."

Last night an announcement was made that new episodes are starting again the three weeks. Is there an update on the writer's strike or is this just another lame network ploy?
Speaking of the strike, I think Leno's a turd. Letterman did it right.
