I can work my way around a forum, tis no big deal, and it's fun.

But what I'd really like to know is, when you guys quote people, how do you get it to put the quote in little boxes with the person who said it's name in there?!? I haven't figured it out on the CJ's board either. I know it's something easy and fore-head-slap-worthy, so c'mon, who wants to be the first one to make me go, "D'oh!"?

Quoting for Dummies Update:

I did it!! As expected it was a breeze. I am my own freak.

Michelle, on this board, click the "quote" button in the upper right corner of the post you want to quote. The entire post will appear in a box below the box where you're posting your message. If you don't want to quote the whole message, you have to delete the irrelevant parts.

On the Junkies' board, click on the quotation marks symbol on the post you want to quote, rather than "post reply" at the bottom of the thread. (This is from memory & may not be exactly correct. Please do not sue me if it is not, as I have no money, thus this disclaimer.)

It's really easy to quote people, michelle. All you have to do is click the "Quote" icon in the top right bar of the message you want to quote -- the "Quote" icon is directly opposite from the name of the message poster.

Once you do that, the 'normal' message entry field appears, but scroll down a little bit -- you'll see the original message in a box below. That's the text that will be quoted in your message. Edit it to remove the extra stuff that you don't need in your message.

Enter your message and click "Add Reply"! TADA!

Feel free to experiment with quoting and replying to this message!
