i love that 1000 island-ish dressing you get on the tiny salads at japanese restaurants. does anyone know what its called, can you buy it at any grocery store or asian market? i'd probably even try to make it if TheDrew ™ or anyone happens to have a recipe to share.

If we're thinking of the same thing, it's called Ginger Dressing.

This recipe from Todd Wilbur's Top Secret Recipe collection seems like a good starting point...

Let me know how it goes for you!

Wow, I wasn't even thinking of that. Iw as actually thinking about the first time I had sushi. I was visiting a freind at his U in Canada, and this girl he liked had a sushi party. Anyway, she kept pushing the wasabi by saying "Wasabi, lots of wasabi!"

No, seriously. You rock! I made the red robin seasoning and the TGI Friday's broc. cheddar soup tonight and they were sooooooooooooo tasty!!! I can't believe how easy they were and how much like commercial goodness they tasted. You are Awesome. I will even go so far as to award to you the coveted "Joss-ome".
