Anyone going to this show at the famed 40 Watt Club? I'm hoping to be there.

Oh, I know! But I wonder if Echo Lounge will conjure up too many bad memories for me? (Guitars with whisks, anyone?!?!)

I am going to both Athens and Atlanta shows. Chris, maybe we could meet up and go to Athens. Not sure who, if anyone else I know, will be going.

I am sort of bummed: I hoped to do merch at the Echo, but someone beat me to the punch. At least I will be part of the enchanted audience.

I have details on this show, straight from the woman who answered the phone at 40 Watt: doors open at 8:00 ("it's an early show," she tells me). Tickets are $10, and they aren't available except at the door. Normally, 40 Watt is a SRO venue, but they're bringing out chairs and couches for OtR! One week away; I'm getting psyched!

I'll be at this show alone, since my friends can't make it and my girlfriend has classes to teach on Wednesday. If anyone wants to meet up before the doors open at 8, let me know.

Also, if anyone wants advice on some good places to eat in Athens, I'll be glad to make suggestions.

I just thought of a perfect place. You'll head up 138 N from Conyers to get to Athens, of course. In Monroe, near the end of 138, there's a Winn Dixie (or maybe it's Save Rite now) shopping center, with a UPS Store and a McDonald's; it's right across from Zaxby's and Burger King. Meet me there. I'll be sitting in the front of the parking lot in a black Ford Ranger. One of us can park, and the other can drive.

Do you want to try to grab something to eat beforehand? There are some incredible places to eat in Athens. Let me know, and we can decide on a time.

Whatever time you want to meet is OK with me. Dinner before the show would be cool, too.
