I cannot vote because I love them both. If I was forced to choose I would close my eyes and pick a disc at random.

I'm a null vote too. It's a whole album to me and I have no preference. At home I put both discs in the stereo and for the truck I've made 2 different cd-r's leaving out 3-4 songs on each so I can hear it almost the whole thing without having to switch cd's.

Ditto. I probably listen to disc one more, but choosing between the two would be like choosing between my left and right hands. I need both.

I voted for disc one.

When I got OHIO in December of last year, I listened to the whole album through a couple of times. Then disc one found my cd player and didn't leave for a month. I found myself falling asleep to the first album night after night. After I tired of listening to the same thing every night, I switched to a different disc altogether and added the album to my collection. Now, I've listen to the whole album since and think that it works very well as a whole -- I just fell in love with disc one first.

...but diving into disc two with Long Lost Brother nearly brings tears to my eyes every time...Karin's voice...Karin's passion.... <lost for words smiley>

I don't like to make decisions so I just play them both equally. There really shouldn't be a "1" and "2" .... It is a complete work of art ... the emotions flow from the first to the second and back again. They could have placed the songs in any order and it wouldn't make it any more or any less what it is .... perfect.

I can't pick either. I mean, I adore Bothered. Gar, I love that song. But I also couldn't live without the Musical Triumvirate of Suitcase/Anything at All/Professional Daydreamer. So I refuse to vote. Bah.

There's a second disc? Wow I love disc 1 so much I haven't made it to the 2nd one yet.

I am currently really into disc 2. Is that wrong? It seems the correct answer was to say I loved both equally...

...I just can't find disc 1 right now!

has anyone's feelings on this changed in the past year?

i voted (today) for disc one, but i think that is mostly because i always tend to like the first of a group the most. *thinking* maybe it's because i am not able to absorb so much new material in such a short amount of time, and once the *damage* is done, i stick with what i know.

not to say that i don't like disc 2. maybe the next 2 cd set i get, i'll listen to disc 2 first and check my own theory.

I counted up, and there's 5 songs I really like on Disc 1 and 7 songs on Disc 2. So I guess I prefer Disc 2. But I really really like those 5 songs on Disc 1.

but i really love disc 1. and those italics mean all the difference.

I agree with Michelle on this one. It is a whole album and to pick one disc would just be impossible.

I tried, but my favs for the whole set split equally between disc one and two. What a pleasant quandry to have.
