Well, I just pre-ordered Drunkard's Prayer, so that's the last one I've laid down cash for. But I'm bidding on Patience, August and Everything After, and This Desert Life on Ebay. Here's hoping ...

I got "Everyone's Beautiful" - Waterdeep for free.
I still would like to get their "Enter the Worship Circle" CD
I've like and own both of these CDs. Enter the Worship Circle was so different (read=raw) that I didn't like it at first. Now several of my personal favorite worship songs are from that cd.

Back when I bought a lot more music than I seem to now, I gave up buying cds for Lent a couple of years. Good thing I didn't do it this year or I couldn't have preordered Drunkard's Prayer.

Well.
I walked in to Border's yesterday with a list of 4 cd's I would like to own soon. I walked up to the counter with 2 of them. Yay for the new release Tuesday sale thingy. Anyway, I don't buy cd's all that often. Rarely do I buy more than 1 at a time. I hand the cashier the cd's and she says, "We're running a special right now, buy 3 get the 4th free." Ya don't say, I say...
Bought me 4 cd's last night. Shocked myself, I did.
Tina Dico - Far EP
Josh Rouse - Nashville
Tori Amos - The Beekeeper
Thievery Corporation - The Cosmic Game
The Dico EP is good - 3 strong songs out of 6 and only 1 I'm not found at all of at this time. I'm not sure why hearing her MBE performance months ago didn't make me want her EP then, but whatever.
Josh Rouse - Josh, my man, MY MAN! He's topped himself. I love Under Cold Blue Stars, love 1972 and after only 1 full spin of Nashville, I love this one too. He's just bustin' out with the kickace stuff man.
Tori - haven't listened yet. Don't want to take my man Josh out of the truck stereo.
Thievery Corporation - will be put in the stereo and played at very loud volume this weekend while I clean the house. They are rockin' house cleanin' mew-zak.

last CD(s) purchased would have to be the two
Jeff Hansen CDs and the
Ben Folds Five Whatever and Ever Amen reissue and the new
Glen Phillips CD (all on the same Amazon order, all to be shipped to me on March 29th)... I'm not gonna buy the new OtR until the shows that week... that way I know the band gets my money, and I don't have to put up with Paste's tomfoolery*.
the last music I purchased was an iTunes exclusive
Ben Folds' cover of a
Dr Dre song from
The Chronic (yeah, not the best song from
The Chronic, but it's from the classic album nonetheless)... the mysogynistic "Bitches Ain't Sh*t." sue me... I'm a Ben Folds and Dr Dre fan who also happens to be a feminist with a sense of humor and/or lapse in judgement.

I pre-ordered Jason Harrod's
Bright as You the other day... Both that and Drunkard's are being sent to my mom's house in Illinois....and she'll bring them to me when she visits in May... so...long...coming...
But i can't risk someone actually sending them to me and the package taking 5 months...like my last one.
*edited because I just emerged from a reality where Born was still called "Drunkard's Prayer"....but y'all know what I meant ;-) *
and then
*edited again because I realized that I had been psycho-tricked and that the original reality had been the real one all along*

I bought the Shins'

Drunkard's Prayer and

It is.
Black Eyed Man is still in the used section of the local CD shop, but I've already been a little extravagant with my music purchases this month (i.e., I am running out of room on my CD racks), so I'm going to hold off on buying that one for now. There aren't too many people in my town who even know who the Junkies are, so there's a good chance it'll be there a couple months from now.

Wow. Trinity is where I started, back in 1989. That recording is amazing when you consider it was recorded in 24 hours for about $250. That's also the only CD with oldest sibling, John Timmins. He sings backup on Misguided Angel. John is scheduled to tour with them this summer, first time since Trinity! It would be very cool if you can catch them.
