The Carissa's Wierd CDs were a delayed Christmas gift (silly customs), and the 60s compilation was a gift from my parents, but the rest came from my sister's disc-weeding. We will shortly be posting a list of our combined discarded discs on one of our LiveJournals, with each disc free for the asking. Well, we're also asking for postage money (Lisa says "$5 USD"), but it's not like we're charging $10 PLUS postage. I'll link to it as soon as she's done eliminating. smile.gif

Good Lord, why? I know the Canadian gov't taxes pretty much everything up the yin-yang, but dang. $30/CD is just ludicrous.

Looks like I forgot to mention Knuckle Down by Ani Difranco a few weeks back. I wasn't deeply absorbed by Evolve, and I can't think of a single track from Educated Guess which might make it onto a Best of Ani mix disc. Knuckle Down ends her string of duds. I am very pleased with this latest album.

Blue Merle - new - digging it.

Innocence Mission, self-titled - used - not digging it.

I went in to the used cd store looking for Cure's Disentigration and Innocence Mission's Befriended (thanks again, Dennis) and they had IM's self-titled. The cute dude helping me says, "you can listen to it first at the stereo if you like..?" me: "naw, i've heard several songs of theirs that i've dug and i'm feeling daring." Bad idea. Wasn't feeling it. Didn't like it. I'm thinking that if I had heard this when it first came out ('89) I may have gotten into it and it would have stuck with me over the years - but popping it in the stereo yesterday was just, eh.

So, if anyone wants a free, used copy of Innocence Mission's 1989 self-titled cd, message me with your addy. It's yours. Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday, or something.

I found that most of IM's cds, especially thier older ones, are ones that I have to listen to for a while before I really dig them.
Just my opinion.

It's weird, Dr.'s appt's., waiting in checkout lines, slow traffic, stuff like that I'm practically a master in patience. Music on the other hand, if something, sometimes the littlest thing doesn't grab me in some sort of way - patience non-existant. So, opinion appreciated Grand Slam A-Bomb, but I'm pretty darn positive it's gonna be a no-go, the offer's still out.
