My last were:
The Drive-By Truckers- The Dirty South
Broken Social Scene- Bee Hives
Broken Social Scene- Feel Good Lost
Kings of Convenience- Riot on an Empty Street
Over the Rhine- Eve
Sara Groves- Past the Wishing

I love me some Ben Harper! I need to buy more of his stuff. All i have is Live from Mars. Which CD's should i go for? Or maybe i should ask if there are any of his that i shouldn't go for?
Oh, and my latest CD purchases were the Serendipity soundtrack, The Best of Etta James (soultry!) and a smokey little mix of jazz instrumental classics.

A Perfect Circle -
eMotive (Virgin/EMI): Superb version of John Lennon's "Imagine" and a public domain song "When the Levee Breaks" is so un-APC/Tool, but it's so beautiful... great CD! The DVD comes out in 2 weeks, too...
King's X -
Live All Over the Place (2CD; Metal Blade): 20 years making music, and this is their first official live release. Great collection of songs, and a great acoustic set as well... the acoustic version of "Over My Head," as the bonus track, is stupendous.
Team America: World Police -
Official Soundtrack (Atlantic): Trey Parker and Matt Stone put the "larious" in "hilarious." While the movie fell short for me, this CD was a must buy. "America, F-ck Yeah" and "Freedom Isn't Free" are the highlights for me. Too bad the US populace actually seems to vote based on mindless flag-weaving and a fear of questioning authority...
Travis -
Singles (Epic/Independiete): Only one new track ("Walking In the Sun"), but overall it's good to have a "greatest hits" collection out of this fantastic Scottish band. It's like a greatest hits CD without the pretentiousness of calling it
Greatest Hits or
We Rocked You SO Hard, Vol 1.

eh... Sixpence are an alright band. It is good to have some of their side-project stuff on one CD, but in the general scheme of things the only Sixpence CD that really measures up to brilliance is
This Beautiful Mess. The rest are great, but not spectacular.
IMO.~fff

i totally agree.
besides, IMHO, i thought that the final album should've also been titled
This Beautiful Mess. not only does it describe some of the things that 6p had to go through in getting the albums out, and all of the christian/secular debates etc, it is just a great title.
once i receive the CD in the mail, i'll only be short like 2 6p songs ever released.
at least i still have OTR.

Alright, then. How about this one? Worth getting? I was disappointed with North and decided I'd get his back catalog before getting either of this year's releases, but I could change my mind.
My latest:
Ted Leo + The Pharmacists- Shake the Sheets
Hem- Eveningland

Feist- Let It Die
and while it's not so much a purchase, it is excellent:
Patty Griffin- Silver Bell
