I called Uno to make a reservation, and when I said Saturday, May 1st, the woman on the phone said they were all booked, without even asking how many & what time. I'm thinking maybe we should break up into smaller groups and maybe try other places. Any suggestions or ideas?
Anybody know anything about Brixx Ice Co? I can't find anything except that it's American cuisine & across from the ball park.
I'm sorry I waited this long to call, but I didn't expect this (obviously).

It may be better to look at places outside of that area. If I'm not mistaken, it's UD's graduation this weekend. I also live on an island and the concept of "outside of that area" might not be up to par.

Burger King is just fine with me, I'm much more interested in the company than the food.

Okay. There's a McDonald's at 410 South Main. It's a little far to walk, but we could meet up outside Canal Street & carpool over there & back. Say Canal Street at 5:30?

Ah, that would explain the lack of hotel rooms, too. It never occurred to me. Of course, when I graduated from there (in 1986), graduation was sometime in April. But a check of their web site reveals: Sun, May 2 Commencement Exercises at 10:00 a.m.

I'll go where ever ya'll say to go. I figure when I'm showered and ready to leave the hotel I'm just gonna call someone's cell phone to tell me where to take the cab.

Yeah, I'm with K-dog. Whatever everyone wants to do is fine (although if it's a vegetarian restaurant I might skip the food and just start drinking

). But I think it's more important that we're all in the same place than whether we're eating gourmet food or something.

Jeanne,
How do we get our tickets for the show on Saturday (for those who are not making it for dinner, wherever). Maybe you could leave a list with the ticket taker/box office/whoever lets you in.

I think that'll work for us folks coming up from Louisville.
So all we could find is a warehouse? Should I bring my Pasta Pro with me?

Kylie, sounds good to me if other people are up for it. Walking distance to CST only increases its appeal.

Has this location, like its Philadelphia counterpart, stopped serving free bread and salad with entrees? (Ah, geez, I have GOT to stop working for DiningIn delivery!) At least their menu looks good.

Actually, it's like 6 blocks down & 4 blocks over. But it's ok with me.
Oh, and downtown streets in Dayton are mostly one way, with the exception of Main & Third. Second & Fourth go West and First & Fifth go East. So be aware if you're driving to the restaurant - you may have to do a lot of circling.
It's been about a year since I was there. I think they still have free bread; I don't know about the salads
Thanks, Kylie!

Trudy, if you're not there before the doors open, I'll go back out after we snag some tables, and wait for those who haven't arrived yet. If it's raining, there's still enough room inside for me to wait for whoever hasn't arrived yet (There's like a fifteen foot walk between the front door & the guy taking tickets.)
If you're not there by the time the show starts, I'll leave them with the ticket taker with your names. (Or I'll wait outside if I don't like the opening band

; still don't know who that is yet.)
