Coffee ice cream is my favorite. Ever. Ben & Jerry's used to have that Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz. It was orgasmic. If they still do make it, thank goodness, but I haven't seen it in the stores here. I also really like regular old vanilla chocolate chip too. But the kind w/ the chocolate slivers in it, not actual chocolate chips.
And I can't do chocolate ice cream. It's just too much. I like it even less if it has anything chocolate-ish added to it. Brownies, fudge, etc. As much as I love chocolate, I just can't do it in ice cream form.

Just like cookies, I'm not picky when it comes to ice cream . . . any kind'll do. But lately I have been enjoying Coffee w/ Heath Bar bits blended in at Ye Olde Coldstone Creamery.
(mmm. It feels like it's 95 degrees in my house right now, I think I needs to get me some o' this RIGHT NOW.)

I have also been known to indulge in Cookie Dough or Caramel flavors. But my absolute favorite (which I can never find) is Spumoni. It's the same concept as Neapolitan, but the flavors are red currant, pistachio, and chocolate. Mmmmm ...

Chocolate.

Preferably chocolate-complementing (or is it "complimenting"?) food items.

Michelle- you are my ice cream soul mate! This is basically exactly what I would have written! <cue twilight zone music>

I came across a really good Ben and Jerry's flavor recently --Irish Creme/Chocolate/Coffee goodness -- can't remember the exact name (oh yeah, it's LONG gone....)

Maybe this doesn't qualify cause it isn't really ice cream but my favorite is orange sherbet in a big waffle cone! But if I'm in a chocolate mood then it's Heath Bar Blizzard from Dairy Queen all the way! (Sadly we only have one, maybe two DQs in GR and they are both in scary parts of town...poopy.)

How, how, how,
how could Mint Chocolate Chip have been left out of this survey? It is one of the quintessential varieties of ice cream, and a top contender for Best Flavor.
That's where my vote's going.

While my favourite in non-traditional flavours is probably Cookies and Cream (followed in the more traditional queue by Vanilla), the kind I'd most like to have in my ice box right now is Strawberry Cheesecake, which I haven't seen since a gas station stop in 1998.

mmmmmmmm. someone here said the magic 'c' word- Cold Stone Creamery. Mmmm. Apple Pie a la mode ice cream. Be still my heart. I was up in GR at the Movie theatre and we opted for dinner rather than Ice Cream. I am still not sure if it was the right choice...But, hey, I will be up next week to see MEAN GIRLS (I love you, lindsey Lohan) for my birthday and The Birthday Girl might have to demand cold stone delight.

I just discovered a new yummy frozen treat! It's Barq's frozen root beer and vanilla ice cream float. SO GOOD! I think my boss picked them up at Costco but I'd guess you could find them anywhere. Its not a popsicle, they come in paper tube like things (kinda like push ups). If you like root beer floats you should try this.

I love sorbet too. Tarty fruit sorbet's. I love eating tarty fruity sorbet's right out of the pint. And After squeezing Milk Chocolate Magic Shell over the top layer. Eating top layer, repeat.
Favorite sorbet's to do this with are Haagen Dazs Mango and Rasberry and Dreyer's ( I think it's Dreyer's) Peach and Tropical Fruit.

My first response to this was, "oh God, Oh GOD, OH GOD! How can I choose?"
So I went with Vanilla. It's probably what I get most (soft serve or frozen yogurt) and it is very enjoyable. But truthfully I love them all. I could eat nothing but ice cream for the rest of my gosh durn life and be completely happy about that.

Depends on my mood. I go through chocolate and chunky to fruity to somewhere in between. Regardless my husaband and I love ice cream. My husband is an exetreme ice cream snob. It creates a conversation almost every time I talk about it. Don't you all wish you could join in. I could have told you in Dayton, ...oh that's right I couldn't go. I am sure you all feel as if your experience was some how lessened because of missing out on my story about my husbands ice cream issues.

I vote for fruity sorbets. Among "actual" ice creams, I adore that vanilla stuff with the chocolate crackles in it, mint chocolate chip, and cookies n creme... and cherry around here comes in such a LOVELY shade of pink!

Vanilla soft-serv cones in chocolate shells are yummy, too. Mmm, chocolate....

i got my mom in law totally ADDICTED to ben and jerrys. she got so mad! haha.
other than that, i also love cheesecake varieties... and vanilla... and ...and..... ILOVEICECREAM!
i also love sorbet and frozen yogurt. haggen daz has their new smoothies line, which is frozen yogurt and sorbet. so tasty. so low in fat.
