Your girls really are almost freakishly adorable, Viv! Hope you're feeling better.

I can't believe Betsy is 3! And she has that deep-thinking Detweiler aspect written all over her pretty face already.
PuppyheadMom
She's already declared that she is going to play both guitar and drums "when I grow up." She's definitely got the Detweiler artistic bent! smile.gif

Freakish is the correct word to describe my children, and I'm proud to say that they take after me in that regard rolleyes.gif

I had fun @ Louisville (don't ask me to say it) but wish I had a full day instead of 4 hours. However I'm happy to announce that I am planning a "drive to the midwest! and back" trip for my winter break. biggrin.gif

PuppyheadMom
Yeah...not terribly excited about hearing drum practice every day....but we do have a basement with a door that closes! wink.gif

Yes, she has plunked away on the big beautiful puh-nan-o as she calls it...I think it's on her list too...and we MIGHT know a couple people who would be available for lessons...

My oldest daughter is finishing up her first season in high school marching band. She's in the front left in this photo:

Their field show this year was quite amazing, playing a modified version of a piece of music titled "Teardrop" - an original piece by the University of Arizona. The high school version was inspired after a trip to China last year, and their show was titled "Khan: to the ends of the earth and sea" You can view more photos from their show at Irvine High School here: http://reese-images.smugmug.com/gallery/65...417889809_SS3je

For those of you not on Facebook.... here is a little video of Mackenzie singing The Poopsmith song with a little egging on from me smile.gif She also did a sound check and sang "ABC's", "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer", "Jingle Bells", "Happy Birthday", and "Poop on the Potty". And she then said "Thanks for being here everyone - goodbye!"

Here's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTA6dhHGQlQ"" target="_blank">a video of Abby and Joey's Christmas morning.

All of a sudden Abby unwraps at the speed of sound ... she can't, however, understand what's taking Joey so long! rolleyes.gif
