Actually, your gorgeous oldest daughter looks like a feminine version of the young digipen to me, Bill.
The other two got mostly my wife's genes, but Chris does resemble me at his age. Here's my HS grad photo:

Don't I look like the kid most likely to bring a machine gun to school the next morning?

OK, so I've never posted pix here before... How can I get a photo I've scanned down to under 300k? And do I just attach it as a file attachment?
I suppose this is a question for another forum. I'll go looking.

Apr 24 2004, 10:34 AM
Yes, you post is at a file attachment.
I'm trying to think of what you could do. If you find a free web hosting service, like photobucket.com or whatever, you could upload the picture to the site. Then go to
http://www.321webmaster.com/optijpg.php and put the URL of the image into the box. This is a JPG optimizer, which will shrink your photos to a manageable file size. Then you can save that BACK to your computer, and post it as a file attachment here on the Orchard. Convoluted, I know, but I haven't a clue what software you possess. This should work.

go back to that "olden days" wedding photo I posted and see the resemblance of my oldest to her mother. It's her mouth that she got from me.

Thank you!
Well, my wife stays home with the kids most of the time. (On my day off, Monday, she works as a coach at a local gymnastics center... We need the $$ and she needs the break! Plus it's good for me to connect with the kids all day like that.)
Honestly, I don't think we could do it without a great community of friends. Some of our best friends live next door and we're constantly fixing dinner for each other, watching kids, hanging out... My wife has a young woman who she kind of mentors who is AMAZING and lets us have a date night once a week... even if it's just Target and Baskin-Robbins... We can always call on her for free babysitting.
I'm so grateful for my faith community... For us, it makes life with four young children liveable and actually enjoyable.

Matt, I have to say that it makes me feel really behind to see that someone who attended college with me has a 9 YEAR OLD!!! For some reason Myron and I have just been super chickens when it comes to the parenthood thing. We just hit anniversary #7 san babies. Now we're thinking about starting our own business together (which means we will be sans insurance) so that's put another delay in the plan.
Oh well...guess you gotta wait till you're ready!
Your kids are all so beautiful...and you both look super great yourselves...what a gorgeous family!
