Here are some pictures of my little Snoopy he/she is now 15 weeks these were taken at 9 weeks hopefully at the next appointment we will be able to see the sex and start calling him/her by their name. If not, then in September we will have good pictures to share with everyone and actually know the sex.

This is my favorite little cousin, Bridger Max Thomsen. He's over here so much he could be my own!
I think this one is just before he was a year old (man, he was a chunk!):

Handsome devil, but nobody should be smoking at that age!

Yeah, we start 'em young.

Alanna Cooper (she was born last Sunday). I NEED to get myself out to Costa Mesa and hold this baby! It's killing me being stuck in Dayton while my grand daughter is partying it up on the coast (like I need more distraction). I'm getting out of here next week.

Thanks Trudes... not only that sweet smell of a baby's skin but the arbitrary and at the same time Zen like movement of their facial expressions. This baby is also entranced by the sound of syncopated piano riffs, trumpet and saxophones.
OH... that little butt is SO COOL!
And... as a result of coming to Costa Mesa, I was able to walk through the water on the beach with the baby up to Huntington Beach and have Wahoo Fish Tacos (ahi on that day) with a $1.50 bottle of Bohemia.

The best is the #1 with blackened fish enchiladas with the green sauce and black beans. Oh damn. Now i'm hungry.

Better than just mine! She's my grandchild! Less work, same satisfaction.
Pictures of her mom and dad are somewhere a few days back in this thread.
Wahoo #2 for me (I eat a lot) but I like the tacos smothered in hot sauce and black beans and shrimp rice. My son wandered down here from Montana (another treat... hadn't seen him for almost a year) and he found Wahoo's the best part of SoCal.

Here she is this morning like some kind of cosmic decoration.

I'm leaving her here in SoCal for now. We return to the swampy inlands of Ohio in the morning. Going to put Bluer on my headset and have it just keep repeating for days.

Last year for the second and third time I became a great aunt. All the little babies in our family (there are 5) are so much fun (and not mine!). I couldn't resist putting up this one of my great-neice, Kaylee, in her halloween costume. That's her mom, Ashley, in the second picture.

These two are my nephews, my brothers sons. The older boy, Zach, is incredibly smart and the baby, Josh, is just the happiest baby you ever saw. All you have to do is smile at him and he breaks out with grins and giggles.
The second pic is my great-nephew Devon. This is a skyview, a la Bru-say.

i wrote a post a while ago (back in august) about one of the kids i was really close to at the day care. anyway, i finally got a picture of ezekiel and me...
here is the original post...and here is that picture.
last august i cried immensely when i had to leave the kids at my day care center. i was in charge of 12 kids, ages two and a half to three years. meredith, nahlyn, lucca, savannah and skylor...they all held a special place in my heart, even though i wanted to strangle them sometimes. but my favorite (and yes, all teachers have favorites, the good ones just don't act on them!) was ezekiel.
ezekiel's mom trish was a teacher's worst nightmare. when he was coming to my room i had to tell her like it was...that i wasn't going to write down everything he did all day because he would be able to tell her. that he would potty train when he, and not she, was ready. that i would love her son, but that i would push him to his limits as far as academics went (he was always very bright). she was scared of me at first, but then she learned to love me, almost as much as her son did.
i actually had to start preparing him for my departure two months before my last day. and two weeks before i left, i stopped laying with him at naptime, and i stopped letting him sit on my lap. except for the last day. i cried that whole day, from getting presents to having a pizza party to giving each of the kids a going away present...a picture of me and them, enclosed in a foam frame i made.
well, since i've been home, i didn't want to go back. the day care was where i met dan (my ex), and everyone, including the kids, would want to know where mr. dan was. so i stayed away until i started getting my life turned back around. when my new job called and told me what a glowing reccomendation peg (my boss at the day care) had given me, i knew i had to go.
and when i saw one of my old kids at the wave pool, and her mom told me that the kids all still talk about me, i really knew i had to visit.
so i went today. and i went to the four year old room to find savannah and skylor and zaria, all so much taller, but all so much the same. and ezekiel just looked at me. i asked if he knew who i was and he said, in awe, "you're jessyka."
i stayed for about half an hour. the kids wanted me to chase them and stuff like when i worked there...it was like i had been recruited again. choruses of "miss jessyka, catch me!" and "miss jessyka, will you baby-sit me?" rang out.
and when exekiel's mom came to pick him up, she was excited to see me as he was.
he asks about me everyday. they have my going away present/picture frame on their mantle, and she said the sun hits that picture every morning.
and ezekiel just looked at me and said, "can you come to my house?"
i walked him to his car, his hand in mine, and right then, even though i knew that i was done working in day care, i knew that i would always mean something in the life of a child.
and that's the best possible feeling in the world.
(this was taken a year ago in august...)
