I really miss holding babies. Holding a newborn child is possibily the most fulfilling tactile experience there is.

Troy, morgan Eve is a beauty! Have to like? does not look like it will to tough!
I am sure the beautiful Kim can coach you through the diaper changes and what not, but that little gal looks like there will be some spoiling in her future!
Scotty, you have some amazing views! Love your photos!

This is Gavin in his current idiom (well it's not actually Gavin.. it's the snowboard he's riding). He is at work in this photo. It is sunrise at the summit of Lone Peak in Big Sky Montana. He opens the lifts. His duty takes him on a tram ride up the mountain to inspect the terminus machinery for the tram. From the eleven thousand foot summit he boards out to the other lift sites to inspect the machinery before operations begin. The ride down starts with a huge verticle drop off the chutes you are looking down in this photo. Sometimes he takes the plunge on telemark skis instead of the snowboard. During the depths of winter the outside air temp at this location is often colder than thirty below zero at sunrise. He repeats this process all day, providing relief breaks for all the lift operators on the mountain. What a job! What a guy!

What a job is right! He's a good man, I think I would have to take those particular chutes with snowshoes myself.

No snowshoes.. maybe a parachute. The chutes are nearly verticle for a couple of hundred feet. Snowshoes would be like jumping down an ice covered elevator shaft with clown shoes on.

Trisha is twentysix. Gavin is twentytwo and Layla is nineteen. They all came home for thanksgiving last year so I snapped a photo of them together.

I just got caught up looking at all the photos since I've been MIA for awhile. Wow...what a bunch of beautiful little people (and beautiful grown people that used to be little!) I will never stop being awed by the miracle of new life. In the midst of all the turmoil of our world there is so much hope in looking at these fresh new people, created in the image of God!
Congrats to all you new parents, uncles, aunts, and proud friends!

Yes, I have been blessed. I wonder why?
The kids are happy. Everything makes Gavin happy, especially adrenaline. Trisha is happy but she still hasn't accepted the reality that you can't have your cake and eat it to. So she frequently stumbles over frustration and disappointment. Layla is cynical but empathetic, witty and given to drama. While she looks like her mother, she has my soul.
When they are together. They smile all the time.

If you do not mind a day care atmosphere, or having a 12 year old in a 40 year old body for a mom! Sure come on over! Today we are making chocolate insects out of candy! Then home made play doe if I can find the recipe!
Scotty, I hope my kids have a blast! I am sure it will help when my child rearing lands them in therapy!
