So... I first came across Over the Rhine in high school, when we discussed a few songs off Good Dog Bad Dog at our church's youth group. (Latter Days, A Gospel Number, Poughkeepsie, and I think one other.) Got that album, got more over the course of the next few years, and I just saw them the other night (10/10 in Philly -- what an amazing show!) for the fourth time. (Previous times were in Philly at The Theatre of Living Arts or something just after Films for Radio came out with the full band, at The Chameleon in Lancaster with Jack, and just the two of them at Jammin Java in Vienna, VA.) Over the Rhine are my favorites along with Dylan (songwriting, recording, and performing). Their music touches me in a special way... I assume you all know what I mean.
I don't know what else to really say.
