Well, let's see... I'm a 22 year old guy living in Maryland, where I've lived all my life... (Isn't it great being over 21? You can go see any shows you want! Heh.) That's my picture over to the left there... Currently looking for a new job... Eventually I want to make graphic novels and films, and I'm writing my first GN now and will then draw it and try to get it published (or self-publish it, if I can't get a company interested in it). I've done a bit of acting in this area, and that's been fun, too.

So... I first came across Over the Rhine in high school, when we discussed a few songs off Good Dog Bad Dog at our church's youth group. (Latter Days, A Gospel Number, Poughkeepsie, and I think one other.) Got that album, got more over the course of the next few years, and I just saw them the other night (10/10 in Philly -- what an amazing show!) for the fourth time. (Previous times were in Philly at The Theatre of Living Arts or something just after Films for Radio came out with the full band, at The Chameleon in Lancaster with Jack, and just the two of them at Jammin Java in Vienna, VA.) Over the Rhine are my favorites along with Dylan (songwriting, recording, and performing). Their music touches me in a special way... I assume you all know what I mean. wink.gif

I don't know what else to really say.

Halloo-

You were at Jammin' Java? I met Barry there, by arrangement via list, but you were not on my radar at the time. I enjoy meeting other denizens of this orchard community, and I'm sure there are all sorts of reasons for that. Anyway, welcome.

So will you be at Iota tomorrow? I'll look for someone resembling your excellent picture. Since I haven't figured out how to put my own picture up that way, you can go to Drew's picture page if you want to look for me - or avoid me. tongue.gif I'm really a very serious person.

I probably wasn't on your radar because I haven't been a listee... I read the archives sometimes, but never bothered to sign up and post to the list. Didn't make it to the VA show last night -- didn't have enough money. But I just got a new job, so I'll be at the show in Baltimore at the beginning of December.

You were at the TLA show? Man, thay may have been one of my favourite live shows ever-- I got a "wooty woot!" from Karin, and it was so gloriously, ridiculously silly and fun we all just cracked up.

Sorry to have missed you at the North Star show. Maybe Baltimore on the 5th!
MFAvolio
Ah, yes... I remember that "wooty woot" very clearly, and filed it away under the "inside joke maybe I'll find out about someday" category in my brain. wink.gif And someone brought flowers for Karin, and Linford said "those're some nice flowers ya got there" when she noticed them after a couple songs. And that version of Sleep Baby Jane..! Wow. A helluva show.

If the Baltimore show happens, I'll definitely be there.

Ahh, think positive thoughts! Happy, happy, positive thoughts!

The binksnort is buying our Taft tickets this week, see? We shall consider the glass quite full.
