Earth Day..

yesterday was Earth Day so my honey and i went to see the celebration here in Santa Barbara. it's a pretty big event here so there was a lot to see. i couldnt leave though without buying the best button ever....it says "Copulate dont Populate". seems we can all do our small part to help the planet out.

(strangely the hot rod and motorcycle show was taking place one street away)

so then i started to think about the small things i can do like recycling ect... and wondered if anyone else around here has good advice. please share if you do. sometimes i think people feel like the little things don't count so why bother but really if we ALL do just a little it adds up.

santa barbara rocks

hello to everyone from santa barbara! i'm finally settled in my own place for the first time in over six months and it feels so good. i don't think i could have gone much longer living out of a bag. but now i'm here in the most beautiful place and i need to make some friends and get a job! do any of you lovely people live around here? know cool places to go or things to see?? fun places to work? i'd love any advice you guys have to offer.

oh and now that i have my own computer again i plan on hanging out in the orchard way more often. i've missed you all.

dying inside to leave you

as steph said in the random thoughts thread, i'm leaving in two months. i have to leave what i will refer to as 'heaven on earth' (san diego) and go back up to the northwest. my fiance left last week to spend four months flying in alaska and when he's done he wants to live near our families again. i should feel lucky that i was able to live here for two years instead of the one year we planned for....but instead i feel like life is playing games with me again.

since libby is also having her sister leave and i've noticed other members here have been moving lately or having others move away i thought we could all tell our stories here......... offer some support to each other in times of transition and if anyone has great ideas for dealing with the emotional roller coaster ride i, for one, could really use the help.

i am retarded

well here is the whole retarded story....yesterday morning when i checked my email i went into my junkmail file to do a quick scan and empty it. now for some reason i never put overtherhine.com on my safe list as the only notifications i have ever received have been for getting PM's in the Orchard. so when i scanned and saw one from overtherhine.com i didnt even open it.....just clicked empty and went on over to the Orchard where i found that i did not have a PM.

so, i have been DYING of curiosity ever since wondering what i deleted. all i know is my name was in the subject line.

anyone else get any emails? or...send me an email?

i'm a geek.
