Hey, Apples, and especially you Cincinnati area varieties,
Myron, Betsy and I are moving to the West Chester/Mason area in the next few months. Myron just got a great new job there so we're in the crazy process of trying to sell our house here in Grand Rapids and to find a new home in Southern Ohio. Just thought I'd throw out a request for suggestion on nice areas/neighborhoods and any other great things in the area that we should definitely know about from you natives of the town. And if anyone is looking for a nice 3-bedroom home in a safe, quiet neighborhood here in Grand Rapids, let me know and I'll send you our house info! Thanks in advance! Molly

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I figured I should say hello since you were all so nice about remembering!
Motherhood is all consuming...it's hard to find time to think about much else. Betsy is SO active now...what a fun little girl. She loves Gideon and is wiping him with a wet washcloth right now. He's so tolerant! Good dog. Her other tricks currently include: Saying moon, fish, bye, hi, mama, dada, meow, and ball Climbing up and down stairs Wanting to play outside no matter what the weather and screaming when you make her go in Hugging little girls wherever she meets them Getting mesmerized by commercials Tackling the kitty Dancing Clapping whenever anything delights her Giving real kisses right on the lips She really likes the little smileys on the side of this page...she's pointing and talking to them. And blowing raspberries at them. As you can see, I am now BetsyheadMom!

I'm baa-aack! Well, at least sometimes. Being a new mommy doesn't allow for a lot of forum reading/posting time!
We got Innocence Mission's "Now the Day is Over" for Christmas and I LOVE to listen to it and sing along with it when I'm rocking Betsy to sleep at night. Anyone have any suggestions on other good lullaby CDs that are fun for Mommy to listen to as well as Baby?

The incredible trailer for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe played before Episode III...I am now even more psyched about this movie now.
The trailer actually made me weep...it was just overwhelming to see images on a big screen of a story you've loved since childhood. It really looks like it's going to be great. I am already trying to figure out who will babysit for us so we can go see it (wow...babysitters...that's a whole new concept for us!) For lots of news and updates check out www.narniaweb.net

We are now at the halfway mark of Baby Detweiler's gestation! It is going really fast now that I'm not feeling cruddy anymore!
And so, all you experienced parents...what stuff do we really need to take good care of this little blessing? There are so many things available that it's hard to know what is really necessary and helpful and what's just another product to get ignorant first time parents to spend money! Advice on any and all baby products would be much appreciated. I haven't registered yet and would like to have some pointers before I do. Thanks! |
