A local band stooping to new lows on how to make money, they are actually selling the binding machine they used to produce their first album, lol.
No, they are actually just trying to pay their fathers back. And they are a really good band btw! Best local act in Portland, IMO. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW -------------------- |

QUOTE(bivester @ Jan 25 2005, 11:35 PM) You can call me cp for short. It's a nickname I was given when i lived in Memphis a few years ago. They print all the criminals nicknames in the papers there, I found it amusing. So Clarence "Skinnypimp" Reese was arrested for something. I cut the article out of the paper and pinned it on my wall at work. And told everyone that I found it odd that they put the street name there. The next day , I was dubbed "The Chubby Pimp". That was when I weighed 260 lbs. My buddy "The Jiggy Pimp" named me that. Over the years, it morphed into "Chubby", then "The Chub" then just CP. When you lose a lot of weight, you just can't go by chubbypimp anymore - although when I go back to memphis i am looking forward to someone saying, "Man, the chubbypimp ain't chubby no more!" -------------------- www.daverohman.com

This isn't about the weird things you can find on eBay, it's about when purchasing w/ PayPay now, you gotta wait another week for the paypal payment to clear. wtf is up with that? I paid for something on the 11/7 and this morning, THIS MORNING, I get an email saying my payment cleared and my item will ship tomorrow. A week later. So my shipping takes twice as long now. That's bullsh*t. If I use my debit card it takes seconds to approve and the next day my account reflects the withdrawl. So how is it it takes a WEEK for the world-wide-connected-to-everyf'ingthing-web to ok that the $$ is in my bank. Would someone more familiar with $$ and the why's of this please explain it to me, even a little? I know I sound mighty pissy and irrational at the moment, which is why I'm in no mood to scour through eBay & PayPal to find out, so hey, if an Apple knows, lay it on me. Share.

I know little about this, but here's the word from the PayPal website... not a "why" but a "what," I suppose. Question : Why does it take so long for my recipient's account balance to reflect my eCheck payment? Answer : If you use a U.S. bank account, it can take up to four business days for the electronic funds transfer to complete and for the funds to become available to the recipient of your payment. If you use a Canadian bank account, it can take up to eight business days for the electronic funds transfer to complete and for the funds to become available to the recipient of your payment. If you use a UK bank account, it can take up to nine working days for the electronic funds transfer to complete and for the funds to become available to the recipient of your payment. If you use an Australian bank account, it can take seven to eight working days for the electronic funds transfer to complete and for the funds to become available to the recipient of your payment. Your recipient's balance does not reflect your eCheck payment until the funds transfer is complete. Well, hey, good news is I'm a US bank account and take the less time to clear, up to 4 days! *coughbullshitcough* Too bad my first purchase since this started up took 7 days, the second purchase is on day 4 and the third purchase, well, that was the nice make-up lady - she sent me an email the day after purchase saying my products would be sent in the next 48 hrs. I like her bunches so far. Thanks Troy, you da bomb for assisting the grumpy me. -------------------- Unique Art HAWAII - - - - - Amity Mason Photography |
