So we've all talked about favorite songs, albums, concerts, covers, etc. But if K+L handed you a pen and paper before the show and told you to draw up the set-list, what would you choose? This, IMO, is a little different than just picking your favorite songs in that you want the show to flow and have a certain "energy," so order-of-songs is important. I know that with Jump, there are songs that I feel pretty average about, but when they play them live it's a whole other story.
Concerts vary greatly in length, so we'll make this one 16-songs long (about middle of the road in my experience). C'mon everyone, let's play by the rules: choose 16 songs-- no quadruple-encores at the end or 10-song-medleys or anything like that. Please don't post and say, "Oh but I just CAN'T keep it to 16." If you can't, then you are free to start your own thread  1.) Faithfully Dangerous 2.) Last Night 3.) Show Me 4.) Fairpoint Diary 5.) My Love is a Fever (the old, sultry demo version...not the rap version) 6.) Changes Come 7.) Give Me Strength 8.) It's Never Quite What it Seems 9.) I Radio Heaven 10.) The Body is a Stairway of Skin 11.) Long Lost Brother 12.) Bothered (the version with just Karin and piano) 13.) Cruel and Pretty 14.) Fever 15.) Lifelong Fling (encore) 16.) B.P.D. I'm a relative newbie (even though I've been a fan for 4+ years), so I don't know a lot of the old indie stuff. I look forward to seeing what the veteran Apples come up with

Anyone ever notice that Over The Rhine's exit to "If I'm Drowning" is exactly like the way U2 ends shows with "40"? I wonder which OTR member saw U2 during the 80's and brought that idea to the band.
Dream setlist? Sure...21 songs should be about two hours. 1. The World Can Wait 2. Show Me (not my favorite song, but I think it'd be a nice, uptempo release after TWCW) 3. Nobody Number One 4. I don't know how to begin to try and think about what order I'd like them in, 'cept for the last song, I just know I'd love these in one show.

not necessarily a good order. also don't think that list would be a good show for the lack of upbeat "happy" songs. But if it were a private performance for me (which is where the dream element is brought in)...it would look something likes this: Ohio Ruby Tuesday (cover) B.P.D. Something tells me a lot of people really want to see them play some of the early stuff again.
Now if only they'd tour with a guitarist who can rock out enough to do it...maybe someone with the same facination with delay pedals as Ric had...
