Welcome to the Orchard -- the official forum for Over The Rhine.
We're attempting to create a virtual space where people can gather and leave the cares of the world behind to enjoy peaceful communication with like-minded individuals. The Orchard is provided as-is for the Over The Rhine user community as place to interact with each other.
We want this to be a reasonably 'free & open' forum. Active discussions are encouraged, however the forums are property of OverTheRhine.COM and we reserve the right to lock, delete, and/or ban messages and/or users that are deemed inappropriate on a case-by-case basis. Bear in mind that you're a guest on the band's site, so some rules need to be in place. The rules are as follows:
- We are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.
- Messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this forum.
- Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact the site administrator immediately by email or private message. The moderation team has the ability to remove objectionable messages and will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if a removal is determined to be necessary.
- Discussions should take place in the appropriate forum. Please make the effort to post in appropriate places. If you post in an inappropriate forum, please send a Private Message to Drew. He'll move it for you.
- Do not make nonsense posts.
- Some topics are off-topic and should not be discussed or presented here. Topics include, but are not limited to, politics, pornography, highly-charged divisive topics (abortion, murder, etc), and discussion of illegal activities. Though we respect free speech, the moderation team reserves the right to close or delete topics at any time. Remember that this is a band forum and not intended to be a be-all-end-all forum for every topic under the sun. If necessary, borders around topics will be drawn and defended.
- While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate insulting posts or personal attacks. "Flaming", that is, an abusive response or a response which makes a personal attack rather than sticking to the subject, is strongly discouraged and will not be tolerated.
- We do not condone or participate in e-mail spamming or any other form of spam. We do not and will not spam other people or websites, neither will we give advice regarding anything that's possibly related to promoting spam/spamming.
- No singling out an individual based on race, religion, gender, creed, sexual orientation, or nationality. Offensive posts will be edited or deleted and the user will be warned. Try not to offend anyone. Try not to be easily offended. Be polite.
- You may only have one account on this forum. Multiple accounts are not permitted and will be deleted without warning or notification.
- No discussion of trading any copywritten material. Over The Rhine has given specific permission for "Vines". Discussions of trading copywritten material will be edited or deleted and the user will be warned or banned depending on severity. If you have a question about the appropriateness of something, please send a Private Message to Drew before posting.
- No Porn. Anything deemed pornographic will be deleted and the user will be warned or banned depending on severity.
- Try to keep the profanity to a minimum. Offending posts will be edited or deleted and the user will be warned or banned depending on severity.
- No explicit content of sexual or violent nature. Offending posts will be edited or deleted and the user will be warned or banned depending on severity.
- No excessive use of images in a post which require sideways scrolling. If you're going to post image(s), please make sure they're sized appropriately. Offending posts will be edited or deleted.
- Complaints about the forum's administration should be sent to drew@drewvogel.com, not posted on the board.
- We reserve the right to edit, delete, or modify messages if they conflict with these Guidelines.
- If necessary, users will be warned, suspended, or removed from the Orchard (or other administrative action) for violation of these Guidelines.
- You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law or guideline of this forum. You further agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this forum.
- Generally, if you have questions as to behavior on the Orchard, contact Drew via Private Message (log in, go to My Controls, then click "Compose New Message". In Recipients Name, type "Drew". Enter a message title, then enter your post. Include your email address if you want an off-forum response. Click "Send Message" when you're done to send the message to Drew.
- The decisions of the moderation team are final.
