The man behind the great and wondrous Chroma Key (Kevin Moore)... um, actually, he is Chroma Key... anyway, his soundtrack/score to the Turkish movie 'Okul' is coming out on Inside Out Records on June 29th.

Go HERE for mp3 samples of the Ghost Book CD... It's yummy.
Go HERE for info on the film, Okul CD... not quite out in the States.

Amazon has it listed already... but I'm sure Kevin will be selling it via ChromaKey.com as the time approaches...

Wow... thanks for this information. I have to admit, I didn't know anything about Chroma Key. I am a huge Dream Theater fan... but somehow missed what Kevin Moore was doing after. I've checked out some of the tracks from the website, and the first thing that popped into my head was Alan Parsons... not sure why, maybe production/engineering (a la Dark Side of the Moon).

What a cool find. You've made my day (and it's only 2:45 AM).

Next stop... Amazon.

Chroma Key's debut, Dead Air for Radios, is my favorite album of all-time... I'll recommend it to anyone, any time of day, any day of the week... smile.gif

FYI... Kev's discography is below...
  • Dream Theater - When Dream and Day Unite (1989)
  • guest keys on Fates Warning - Parallels (1991)
  • Dream Theater - Images and Words (1992)
  • Dream Theater - Live at the Marquee (1993)
  • Dream Theater - Awake (1994)
  • Kevin Moore - Music Meant to Be Heard Demos (1994): the start of something special...
  • Chroma Key - CK 3-track Demo (1996)
  • guest keys on Fates Warning - Pleasant Shade of Gray (1997): he's all over the album... nice key fills...
  • Chroma Key - Dead Air For Radios (1998): his 1st full-length under the CK moniker. This is by far my favorite album out by anyone. Period.
  • Chroma Key - Colorblind EP (1999): radio single with 2 edits of other songs plus 3 unreleased demos
  • Chroma Key - This Is A Recording: 1994-1997 (1999): release of all of his demos... nice to have them all in one place...
  • Chroma Key - You Go Now (2000): his 2nd full-length CK album
  • Office of Strategic Influence - Office of Strategic Influence (2003): with Mike Portnoy, Jim Matheos, et al
  • Kevin Moore - Memory Hole 1 (2004): thought-provoking spoken-word-samples over music piece from his Radio For Peace International broadcasts in Costa Rica
  • Kevin Moore - Ghost Book: Soundtrack to the Film 'Okul' (2004): out June 29th
He's also working on his 3rd full-length Chroma Key album for release probably early 2005...

definitely a Kevin Moore fan,

I do have the OSI CD... like that ALOT.

I tried to order a couple of the Chroma Key CD's, but the shopping cart they use kept giving me a server error. Guess I'll try the cheaper download versions and burn/print my own, since the payment for downloadable is on a different server.

Looks like Kevin appears on Fates Warning's Perfect Symetry and Disconnected as well. I have Still Life, but not the studio Pleasant Shade yet. It's on my wish list.

After a few listens, this isn't the usual Kevin Moore / Chroma Key CD... it's a lot more soundtracky/movie score-y. It's still great, but I'm glad it was under the Kevin Moore moniker and not the Chroma Key moniker.

The last song (the only one with Kevin's vocals), Sad Sad Movie, is definitely in line with Chroma Key's style, though. Here's a sample.

Still a great CD, but the last track really makes me want Chroma Key #3 and Office of Strategic Influence #2... smile.gif

not a "summer driving tune," but Sad Sad Movie (from Kevin Moore's Ghost Book) might be one of my favorite songs of 2004...
